Very Good DMR Radio Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The Kirisun DP770 is a nice DMR radio. I would say it is almost on par with a Hytera, but there are a few bugs in the firmware. Here are some of the good and bad points.

Good:
1: The build is solid, as good as a Hytera or a /\/\. It has a nice feel, quality construction.
2: The LCD screen looks amazing. The fonts, icons, the layout is very nice. As good as a Hytera.
3: The transmit and receive audio is as good as any other DMR hand held I have used.
4: The CPS is similar to the /\/\ software, a little different but very good. Not the super cheap crud that some of these radios come with.
5: If you already have a /\/\ programming cable for an XPR portable it will work, as will any of the /\/\ accessories.
6: The battery life is very good, even with the battery saver option disabled.

Not so good:
1: The clock stops when you power the radio off. I thought this could be addressed in firmware but I think Kirisun said it would require a hardware update. Not a big deal for me, I have it turned off on the display anyway.
2: You hear a low level click from the speaker when a received signal opens the squelch. It bothered me at first but now I don't even notice it unless I am purposely listening for it.
3: While scanning, if the radio stops on a talkgroup, it won't show you the radio ID. If you manually move to that talkgroup all is normal.
4: There are no options in the CPS to set each tone setting. They are either all enabled or not. But you can set these in the radio menu.

To me, the pros out weight the cons by a wide margin. Everyone is different and what some like, others won't. No radio is perfect but I feel for the money, this is a very good buy. It definitely fills a gap between the super cheap Chinese offerings (Tytera, Puxing, Kyd, etc) and the top teir /\/\ and Hytera radios. And, I think that most of these issues can be addressed with firmware updates.
If the negatives are not deal breakers for you, and you can find one at a good price, go for it.

Good Radio! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I sell & use the DP770 DMR RADIOS & think for the money they are a very very good quality radio well built, Very easy to program, & updating the firmware is also very easy! Why pay Motorola money when you can have a first class radio cheaper! & col screen!
