Nice magazine Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I'm not a subscriber but I often pick up a copy at a local bookstore for a quick read. I've even bought a few of them.

As a ham radio operator, I don't find too much of interest in the magazine (that's why I don't subscribe). But as a shortwave listener, it's great. The articles seem well written and interesting. There are news items which I think are of interest to ANY radio enthusiast.

If I spent more time shortwave listening, I would for sure subscribe. But for now it is still fun to pick up a copy once in awhile.

Indispensable! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
MT is the best single source for the hobbyist. I have not yet renewed for 2002, but plan to do so ASAP. Professional, slick and well-built from cover to cover. For the nerds among us, it is also available online, but I prefer printed material to anything on the internet.

It has really improved since the days when Larry Magne was a staffer, although it took awhile to see the present high standards evolve after his err.....departure.

Year after year, the best. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
No, it isn't perfect. It's printed on cheap paper, and isn't slick. But there is a ton of good info in it every month. The reviews are at least honest enough to mention problems like intermod, unlike Pop Comm. I for one don't miss Magne at all, he was too biased towards Drake products, but then again, he always has been.

Bring back Larry Magne Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Monitoring times has just about everything a SWL, ham, scanner operator ect., could want about the monitoring hobby. The range of articles in the well produced mag is simply great. One thing that is presently lacking however are good equiptment reviews. This was handled by equiptment guru, Larry Magne until contractural differences forced a split in late 1999. Its a gap that still hasn't been filled. Also a permanent scanner reviewer with the guts to write a bad review of a scanned, if warrented is neded. With receiver technology changing so much today, monitorings #1 magazine needs top line reviewers.

Top notch, first class magazine!! Very good topic diversification. Keep up the good work Mr Grove !!
I have been a subscriber since the start. Leaves the other "mags" in the rear view mirror. Mr Grove, hope to see you again at "Dayton".

A MUST READ Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Monitoring Times Magazine is a "Must Read" for anyone with a "scanner radio" or SWL. This magazine covers it better than any other. I only wish it would carry more ads to lower the subscription price..... it's cost is getting kind of steep.

Good magazine! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I used to subscribe years ago. I was looking for a replacement for another mag that changed to promoting illegal activities. Monitoring Times is thorough, well done, and keeps a positive tone.

Good Read Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been reading MT for years. The publication continues to get better each year, Rachel does a great job with MT. Bob Grove is a classic resource. Beyond the TV Guide like pages for Short Wave Broadcasters, MT contains a wealth of varied articles in each issue.

Always a great read! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been reading MT for years and always enjoy it. It's has articles that appeal to my many interests in radio.

Just about everyone I know that reads this mag cannot wait for the next issue.

This is a magazine that can be left on Dr's offices, knowing that it will be taken home and read by a potentially new radio hobbyist.

Good read Time Owned: more than 12 months.
There are two main publications for the monitoring hobbyist. Unfortuately, the one with least absorbency is the one to use in your cat's litter box. Cheers to Bob Grove and his crew. A best read month after month. Karl Zuk N2KZ
