Decent but there are other sources Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a good book, what they call a classic. There's a workbook available with it also, which is probably better for a ham, someone who actually builds stuff. But, the Hands-On Electronics series in QST is as good or better, and you can find MIT electronics courses online for free. With the workbook this is $100 or more, and there are ways to learn the same stuff for free and spend your $100+ on a Weller WTCPT soldering iron and put that baby to use!

Comprehensive. Fabulous. Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This is a great book! Has the right balance of theoretical and practical information. Covers basic theory to advanced circuits. I have been recommending this book ever since I bought it about a year ago.
