Review Summary For : Afreet GRITTY 1.2
Reviews: 2MSRP: Freeware
Description:
An RTTY decoder using a decoding algorithm based on the methods of
Bayesian statistics.
GRITTY not simply prints what was decoded, but performs some
intelligent analysis of the decoded text. When similar callsigns appear
in the message, an experienced operator can often tell which call is
correct and which one is corrupted. GRITTY can do the same, but
more accurately than a human, because it can compare the calls bit
by bit and merge the probabilities using the Bayes formula. Quite
often the program is able to determine the correct callsign and put it
on the call stack even if all received copies of the call are corrupt.

Works very well, try it Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I agree with Gust ON6KE been reviewing this new FREE software from Alex VE3NEA and like all his other software it works very well! Comparing to other programs it decodes when the others are failing decode, give it a try!

Awesome! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been testing GRITTY for 2 weeks now, letting it run side by side with other software such as Fldigi.
As an avid Fldigi user I can honestly say that GRITTY's RTTY decoding is AWE-SOME. Even on very weak signals it does a better job than ANY other RTTY decoding engine I've EVER used!

It's an RTTY decoder, not an encoder, but try it and you'll be impressed too. (yes even the old school MMTTY users)
