Ugh! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I gave into temptation and pick this up, along with an MFJ-1699T, in hopes of a simple RX antenna for the car. Ugh, what a disappointment in this mount!

The coax terminates into ring terminals; if you look, it's not sealed, so water will eventually get into the coax. Also, the two terminals are very close, and only a small bit of tubing separates them. Also, the GND terminal does not connect to the mount; the mount is painted and the ring is against that.

I could forgive these two issues; fine, I paid for a bag of parts that I need to finesse into working. Ok. BUT:

The hole for the 3/8 stud is sized for a UHF to go through!

So, when you crank down on the barrel of the 3/8, it's really only grabbing about half of the hole, and that's as long as you push it to the edge. If you look at the photos, a phenolic spacer is used for an isolator; that's ok, but I suspect it's going to break in a gentle breeze if used with a Ham-Tenna. The 3/8 nut (that you screw the antenna into) will actually pass through the mount if you dissemble the mount--that's how large the hole in the mount is!

I'd give it a 4 if it wasn't for this wrong-sized hole! It's not really usable as-is.

OK mount with some downsides Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought from HRO 2 months ago. Found that the mount did not provide ground connection from coaxial feed line shield to the base of the mount. The protective weather cap was not included in the package. Also a wide washer on top of the mount under the 3/8-24 connector is starting to rust. I am giving it a "3" because after I've wired-in a ground strap the mount seems to work OK and so far it holds my antenna fine.
