Mine about 4-5 years old and works as advertised Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Apparently I joined the Mag Loop craze a bit early, lately I see improvements and prices going up. Mine is 40-10 meters with a max of 10 watts to the antenna. It definitely works, is well made and very easy to tune. Like all loop antennas, bandwidth is very tight (cuz its a HI-Q antenna) so an antenna tuner helps broaden it a bit. As with all loops it's also directional.

I can set up the loop in less than 5 minutes and on a mountain top it has almost no foot print....no wires or ropes for people or animals to get tangled in.

My complaint is there's no support for the loop coax cables, instead relying on the stiffness of the coax to hold the loop shape. I've notice in later versions they use a plastic cellphone selfie stick for support - good idea!!

Mag loops do work from my experience, but they are useful for temporary - portable antenna needs. A wire dipole flung 30-40 feet in the air into trees will always work better than a loop, IMO.

Cheers All!
