	Description: The 507 Patriot utilizes a chipKIT Uno32 prototyping board which give users access to an Arduino based programming environment. With its 32 bit computing environment and 80 MHz processor the Uno32 provides users with a fast and accurate sandbox environment. The Patriot's control software is open source and freely available modify and upload new functionality with MPIDE, chipKIT's free, Arduino derived IDE. The control code is based on the Arduino API, a framework well known for being accessible to beginners and powerful in the hands of an expert. With ample computing power and their clever designs, your imagination is the only limitation.

Great QRP Radio			Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I bought this radio from a ham on this website more than three years ago. It came already equipped with digital read out. I used it a little and put it away. Recently, because of the virus I was going through some boxes and found it. I connected it to my 40 meter dipole and started listening. I was surprised by the clean clear audio. The cw filters work great and I can make contacts very easily. Too bad Ten Tec no longer exists as it once did. This little transceiver could have been the foundation for something exceptional. I give it 5 stars.

Great QRP SSB rig!			Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I've had the Patriot for several months and having a great time with it. The receiver is very quiet and transmitted audio reports are always positive. The best part about this radio however, is the ability to program it the way you see fit. Don't like the tuning rate? Change it. Want to add a display? Go for it, connections are already there. Want to restrict the band edges to only what your license allows? Not a problem. The Patriot Yahoo! groups is very helpful and with several members posting their customizations. Well done TenTec, another keeper.
