Interesting ham history. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
1941 book by Clinton B. DeSoto, author of the well-known "200 Meters and Down" history of Amateur Radio. DeSoto rose through ARRL to become editor of QST and later technical editor of the Institute of Radio Engineers' Proceedings. He died at age 37 in 1949. This book relates 12 interesting true adventures of pre-World War II hams worldwide in 291 pages. It appears to be written to introduce non-technical readers to the excitement of Amateur Radio. The book is scarce in printed form, but can easily be read on multiple websites. Recommended reading for those interested in early Ham Radio.
