Make it Quick and easy for soldering Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
To give the first review any real thought is to give this fine tool a real disservice as to what was the jacketed coax he used was made out of as the age and material has various makeups. I used the tool on BURY-FLEXTM as fine as a coax one could use and had a problem in the inter conductor size. The tool doesn’t list it either. And if one doesn’t use real Amphenol connectors with this Coax I find it has problems with size on the internal conductor. The first cut was great and has a problem with the size of conductor and will twist one or two of them if you don’t enter the tool perfectly straight. But on making up a dozen Belden RG-213/U it worked like a charm. Also I brought the DXE-UT-80P and it real slick to install the pl259 main body. I know you can use pliers but it so much easier installing on the cable. I have a problem in my right hand and it the first cut that gives me personally a great deal of trouble as I always cut in to the center conductor so this tool solves my main problem. 73 Gene K2QWD

severe arm pain Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I had high hopes for this tool. At first it seemed to be ok. It quickly became dull and in the process I aggrevated my Tennis Elbow and have never used it since. Back to the razor knife and common tools. In short...this thing blows!

Disappointing Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Sorry, I wanted to be able to give this a great review, but I can't. After more than a couple of dozen attempts, I could never get it to work correctly. The outer vinyl would simply bunch up inside the stripper and it would botch up the rest of the coax. This is one tool I wanted badly but, sadly, it was a waste of money.

THe DXE-UT-8213 is an awesome tool! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This tool is worth every cent of the $40 price! I just recently purchased the DXE-UT-8213 Coaxial Cable Stripping Tool and prepared 20 ends of various length LMR 400 coax.

I am very pleased with the ease of use and quality of results. The 20 ends took me a bit over an hour and a half, including PL-259 soldering. Thats quick for these old hands and eyes. ;-)Much quicker than I ever did with a razor knife and much safer too!

This ones a keeper. I'll be using this a long long time. Tnx DXE.
