RX audio problems, wide IF in narrow mode Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
RX sensitivity on UHF is good, but it overloads when plugged into a base antenna in a suburban area. RX audio clips on any signals over ~2 kHz deviation even when radio is set to wide FM. Also, when switching to narrow FM the IF remains at 16 kHz bandwidth, making this radio highly susceptible to adjacent channel interference when using 12.5 spaced channels.
