works ok..but not resonate Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
after installing this antenna and checking it with a mfj antenna analyzer i found it didnt resonate on either 160 or 80meters... no where near either...it should be somewhere close....but not to be.....and i wondered where mfj antenna folks came up with the 250 feet on one side and only 40 feet on the other side.....of the ocfd.....no where close to what it should be......no wonder there was no resonate.....sure it would work with a good antenna tuner....but one does want to get the most out of his antenna and not just a tiny bit of radiation on 160 and 80..

Could be Better Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This antenna was mounted at 85 feet, and I must say was a incredible performer on 80 SSB, comparing it to a 80 meter dipole mounted 10 feet away it was hands down a better performer! Signals were 3-5 db stronger than the dipole.Very quiet but signals would jump out at me!Construction was ok! Now the bad news, if I increased my power more than 500Watts PEP the balun became saturated! Wait a few minutes and antenna would be ok. Replaced manufacturers balun with a DX Engineering 4:1 and the antenna worked ok. On 160 meters it worked just as well as my nearby dipole. Not designed for 30/40 meters but did fairly well in pileups.
