SaWeet!!! The last station monitor you'll ever need to buy! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I just got the LP700. The manual's definition of the menu seams somewhat 'imposing' at first read, but set-up and operation of the actual menu in the meter is intuitive and straightforward.
The only issue I had was with an obvious 'ground-loop" causing a slightly inaccurate reading when compared to the bird meter. The manual addresses this (after I DID read it). The issue was quickly remedied with the suggested connection to the common station ground with a ground strap, that I initially tried to proceed without. Now, readings compare accurately to my other meters.
I also ordered two 3K couplers. These allow me to monitor input and output to the SB220 amplifier.
I've only had it one week, but just had to write a short review on this monitor to express my "WOW". I'm very happy with this meter so far!
UPDATE, 2/7/24: I sold all my other RF meters. This one made them all obsolete. Well --- At least, it made them redundant.

This item makes other gear obsolete. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
With the LP700 Station Monitor, I am able to see proper adjustment of my SB-220 Linear Amplifier. There is so much more that is very easy to see about my signal (peak and average watts as well as my SWR all digital and graphically shown). The ability to generate a two-tone signal to my transceiver and then feed it into my linear, shows both sine wave as well as a trapazoid display for easy and proper alignment on any frequency I transmit on. I was super impressed opening the box and finding a complete printed manual instead of needing to go on the internet to print a PDF file. When I wasn't sure about anything, I called and spoke with Larry who was happy to explain details about any question I had. Best investment I have ever made to seeing my transmitted signals are in proper alignment.

Excellent Monitor - PTT not needed Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I received my LP-700 today and really cannot add any more positive information that hasn't already been stated other than the PTT connectors are just pass-troughs and are not necessary.
I have a switch that switches a number of rigs and antennas and it has the capability of connecting a tuner between the selected rig and antenna. I connected one of the couplers to CH2 of the LP-700 from the tuner connection, so I can monitor any of the selected rigs/amps. And I connected another coupler to CH1 of the LP-700 from my primary transceiver so I could monitor the Trapezoid & Scope Displays (Trapezoid requires two couplers). I was using an oscilloscope previously but the LP-700 is much easier and provides more information.

Great meter Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have owned quite a few meters and the LP-700 is by far the most feature rich meter I have ever owned. I don’t think there is another meter on the market to compare this to. I installed a couple on projects for clients and never had any issues. If you are looking for a high end meter with a host of other features take a serious look at the LP700. The only I hope will be released soon is UHF coupler for it.

LP-700 Outstanding Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
If you're looking for the finest station monitor the LP-700 is the one to get, Beautifully constructed, the large 7 inch screen displays a wealth of information and the large display is easy to read. I also have an LP-100A in my station setup a top notch meter. The LP-700 is a delight to use and highly recommended. Larry provides excellent product and service.

LP-500 Fantastic Station Monitor! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased an LP-500 and have been very happy with it. I always got good reports with my 'eyeball' settings, but once I connected the LP-500 I could see there was a lot of room for improvement. Now my signal is 100% clean and linear. I have sensors before and after the amplifier and highly recommend that you purchase yours with two couplers so you can get the most out of your LP-500/700 Station Monitor. Larry provides outstandingly excellent service! All the more reason to invest in one!

LP-700 is perfect in everyway for serious operator Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This meter (LP700) with remote sensor is perfect. Before and after my amplifier. very accurate when tested with a broadcast watt meter costing thousands. Also for linear checks, wave form....you name it. Very nice. The only true way to measure PEP power. Plus, looks so nice in the station with large touch screen display.

LP 700 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was on the waiting list for 7 months and Larry contacted me and let me know that i was next in line for the 700. Professional equipment through out. Flawless operation in all modes. This is a station must ! Easy to set up and customize to my needs and When I powered it up Larry had already put my call sign in the unit. I am very happy with my purchase !!

LP700 is OUTSTANDING! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought an LP-100A power meter from Larry a couple of years ago and love it.
I just bought the LP700 and love it even more! It was about an 8 month wait but well worth it. The large 7 inch display is very easy to see and the meter offers more functionality than I will use but it is there if I need it.
Thank you Larry N8LP for another fine instrument!

Amazing station monitor Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I always enjoy buying stuff from Larry N8LP as you know his equipment is top notch and his support is A+.

My only two complaints are:

1) It took almost a year to get one even though the delivery time I was told at time of purchase was "as long as six months".
2) Getting the two tone to work properly was a challenge as I had secondary waveforms superimposed on my actual two tone signal. The manual says you might need an isolation transformer and some sort of attenuation if you use the 8 pin foster connector. I used a W2IHY iBox to accomplish both.

I was not the only one having this issue as about 1/2 dozen of us worked through the problem together. In my case on top of the W2IHY unit I had to sand paint from the inside of my Astron to provide a better connection from the ground lug to the case. Oddly enough others found out removing the wire from the case fixed their issue.

Once I got past the two tone issue the unit jumped to life and worked great. Its a little over the top if you are just using it as a watt meter but it does a fine job at that. It really shines given that it includes a signal generator so you can inject 2 tone, 400hz, 1khz, white noise and also pink noise. The unit has a wave form monitor (WFM) and also a limited use Spectrum Analyzer which actually allows you to test IMD values of your transmitter. It also allows you to check linearity on your amplifier with trapezoid but requires a second coupler.

The software that runs on the PC is a work in progress and not 100% complete. Currently, it has a flicker problem on my machine that drives me crazy so I don't use it. It basically duplicates what you see on the actual LP-500.

Highly recommended and it will probably get better as time goes on since it is firmware upgradable.
