Dura-hell! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Yeah, don't leave these in anything too long, like flash lights and preamplified mics! Leak city. Never-gizers aren't much better. Almost better off getting generic dollar store brands. At least there you are not going to waste money on a brand name logo.

Do not leave in you device for any length of time! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is not a review of the Duracell as far as it's capacity or any other metric except one. They leak. They leak frequently. They have leaked in the package well within the use by date! Of all the alkaline batteries I have used (Eveready, Panasonic, Ray-O-Vac, Fuji even some store brand made in china cheapo cells like Family Dollar and Dollar General) the Duracell's have by far leaked more often than all other brands COMBINED! WOW! I have had 3 month old D cells (fresh from a major retailer) leak in my expensive LED D cell Mag-light within a couple of months. I opened the light just to check as the lamp was still bright and had almost no use and guess what? Leaking battery goo! What good is a flashlight if you can't keep batteries in it? How about our expensive test equipment and radios? Proctor and Gamble owned the Duracell brand from 2005 until last year when through a stock exchange sold the #1 battery brand to Berkshire Hathaway in November 2014. Can Warren Buffett turn Duracell around?
