Enhanced Guy Wire Network Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Jon and I are both members of the Frankford Radio Club. I asked him to come and review my Guy Wire setup on my Rohn 25G Tower. Jon came and analyzed my present system. He then made is recommendations and I said "Yes".

Jon is very systematic when it comes to doing his work. He did an excellent job and now I have no fears that my tower will stand firm not only this upcoming winter but for winter's to come.

Thanks Jon for a job well done!

Very competent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Jon is quite a capable guy when it comes to towers and antennas. I have used several others over the years and he is generally more methodical and careful than the others, though one pays for that quality. I rationalize the cost by amortizing it over the years between repairs -- and then factor in what I have saved in medical bills from damaged tendons and muscles, and from time saved in dealing with what I am not knowledgeable about undertaking. And that assumes I would even have the physical stamina to stay of a tower for 10 or more hours! A serious professional is what I sought and Jon fulfilled that role admirably, and then some.

Excellent Work Time Owned: N.A.
My force-12 C4s yagi, on a roof tower, had been hit by a tree limb during a northeaster (storm). The boom had rotated and a chimney was now a potential obstruction during windy weather. Jon repaired the yagi and then inspected the tower, associated cables, and a dysfunctional relay box for the antenna. He made excellent suggestions and sent me links to relevant literature articles. Jon is very professional and a most pleasant individual. I highly recommend Jon and will use him should I have yagi-tower problems in the future.

Excellent Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Once again used Jon in cold temps (below freezing) to diagnose and repair my feedline to the Skyhawk tribander. Jon found the bad portion ingeniously by cleaning the feed straps on the beam then reattaching the old feedline to find the portion of rotation which was "bad"(poor contact), due to rubbing of insulation against the tower leg and water frozen inside the coax, then reattached and restrung new feedline in cold weather. Worth every penny.

Outstanding emergency service. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
My antenna began freewheeling hours before a noreaster storm was to hit us. Called Jon for the first time for emergency repair at 3:00 PM. Jon arrived at dusk after a two hour drive. In the rain and darkness with a flashlight Jon climbed the tower. All that was visible was a moving light at the top of our 90' tower. Jon effected a temporary repair to keep the 300 pound MonstIR antenna stationary and the loops from breaking. On his return he jacked up the mast, bolted the Prop Pitch to the rotor plate (six rotor nuts were missing?, rewired the rotor (wiring broke loose with the loose rotor turning in the wind).
I highly recommend AA1K for any needed antenna work.

Great job professional Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
My 40 meter yagi developed a mechanical problem on Friday. Called Jon and he said he was available for a MOnday repair appointment.
He arrived at 8:30 as did K2NG (Noah) and they were on the tower for 8 hrs in 17 degree wx doing the repair. Bottom line wow what a job and what a result all repaired. I cant say enough about these two guys and their professionalism and getting the job done.

Good Job Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Refereed by W2GPS below. Jon came out in a break in the winter weather. Geared up for trouble shooting, but Jon spotted the problem from the ground, broken braid from the balun to the phasing strap of my X7. Got up, jockeyed the beam around, and repaired it. A real ham, not just a tower guy, with lots of antenna and tower advice.

Great Job on my tower Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Jon spent Saturday fixing things at K3PU and W2GPS and Sunday erecting a crank-up tower and antenna at W3FOX. For me, Jon performed an inspection on my 70' Rohn 45 tower, fixing a number of problems. He then removed a tribander from my roof that others couldn't do. He then swapped out an antenna on my chimney. He always worked carefully and safely. I am very pleased. Jon will be my go-to guy from now on!

Great Job Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Had Jon over to re-position my 144,432 and low band beams on my 40 foot Universal tower that had been blown out of kilter due to straight line winds in a recent storm. He also raised some VHF and UHF beams that were mounted on my chimney about three feet higher. Jon not only corrected the problems but checked the tower and rotor for any potential problems. He was prompt, efficient and got the job done within his estimate of time required to do the job. It is evident by watching Jon, his experience shines through. There is no doubt, if I have any future issues on the my tower, I will again call Jon for help.

Great Job Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Jon came saw and conquered. The tower is a strong one but no one has worked on it for a few years and there were many small items to cure and two climbs to fix various switches and add 160 inverted L to the tower. Jon sent a thorough and useful report and kept working (that includes ground help from W2LL) late until he had finished and headed home for the 5 hour drive in the snow!
Highly satisfied, Pete W2LL
