Too bad we can't still get the galvanized clamps from Lightning Bolt quads!

I bought both versions of the 2 inch clamps - the 5/16" ubolt and the 3/8" ubolt. The holes in the saddle have no play at all, so that NONE of the 5/16" ubolts would fit into ANY of the 5/16" saddles. The 3/8" ubolts would fit into the 3/8" saddles with great difficulty, scraping the galvanizing on both the ubolt threads and the saddle.

The 5/16" ubolt assembly is labeled 1 7/8 on the saddle (obviously for pipe) and the saddle is a
very good fit for two inch tubing. The 3/8" ubolt saddle is labeled 2 on the saddle and will fit
slightly larger tubing, such as 2 1/8".

The galvanizing on the heavier duty assemblies was much better than on the lighter duty ones,
which was as smooth, requiring threads to be
chased.

Drilling out the saddles to get the bolts to go
in will remove the galvanizing protection. Will
need to cold galvanize after modification of purchased assembly.

Rating of 3 (OK) because can't find product elsewhere, otherwise would get a 1.
