Okay but not great Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Workmanship good, but lightweight and adjustments very touchy. Small contacts. Magnetic tension goes very fast from too little to too much. Nice to look at but lack of a Navy style knob makes sending for long periods painful. For the money was expecting a better key.

Nice compact key Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well made, functional key.

The contacts are not damped and neither is the gap adjustment screw, so this key "clicks" on both press and release. It is louder than a Bunnell Triumph.

Contacts are nickel-plated screw ends, not brazed-on silver, and they are extremely small in diameter. Resistance across the contacts when closed is only 3 or 4 ohms, so they do work. I plan to be very careful when cleaning them.

Magnetic tension is different in that the force gets weaker during the down movement rather than stronger, due to the attraction magnet moving further away from the steel piece. This is different from compression springs or tension springs, which have increasing force during the down movement. It feels different, but it doesn't detract from its clean keying.

Sweet machine. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This key is smooth, feels right with my fist and gives very good feedback as to my sending. Some keys do not quite give my fingers the physical feedback where the stop is, the rebound pressure, etc. This key tells my fingers all that they want to know, I'm not sure I need a sidetone with it. I can now send a bit faster and more accurately - less stress and easier for me to know exactly where I am at. I love this key. I would compare it with the Kent SK-1 very favorably, my other favorite straight key.

Beautiful and Easy Sending Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was looking for a small straight key that doesn't take much room on my desk. The base is a little over 5 inches long, and 2 1/2 inches wide.
It is very light but has a weight underneath, and the keys excellent balance keeps it in place
on the desk. The larger wheel adjusts the magnetic
tension and the smaller adjusts the contact gap.
And its very smooth at sending. Just what I was looking for. Thus the 5 rating.
