Great field antenna! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This antenna is a lightened version of the TA-33. I purchased mine new about 5 years ago and it has been a consistent performer over that time period. The antenna is used primarily for field contesting and sometimes as a second antenna at the home QTH. It is comparatively light weight (about 20 lbs) and assembles/disassembles very quickly with a minimum number of tools. It can be supported easily from a steel push-up pole and turned using a TV grade rotator or "armstrong" (grin) rotor. Performance is slightly less than a full size tribander and in most cases the difference is negligible.

The Mosley traps are easily serviceable for clean-up and I have experienced no problems with mine to date. Beware of the power limits of the traps. A ham friend with the same antenna trashed his trying to run too much power using RTTY... post-mortem revealed the coil forms failed from arc penetration. He subsequently upgraded the traps on his driven element with the full size Mosley versions.

I have reworked some older versions of this antenna and they seem to hold up well. UV will eventually start to degrade the rubber trap caps as well as the plastic spacers and standoffs however replacements are available from Mosley. Other advice... keep the telescoping parts lubed with anti-ox compound and don't over tighten the fasteners.

Great Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
What a great little antenna.I got mine from a friend. His father was licenced, and had passed away,he was disposing of the radio equipment, and found this antenna in the garage.I had no problems assembling the antenna, its compact, and it seems to perform really well. For its size it really can be recommended ,I dont know how old this one is,but its got to be at least 20years old,it worked first time!

Outstanding beam antenna! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased the TA-33-Jr in June and installed it on a 48-foot TV tower with a Yaesu G-450A rotor. I used a 5-foot piece of 1 ½-inch aluminum schedule-40 pipe for the mast and 100 foot of PE-type rotor cable. You won’t believe how easy it went together! Parts were color-coded and used only a couple small screws and several SS U-bolts.

Since this is my first beam antenna, I can only compare it to a G5RV and a MA5V vertical antenna. The 20-meter band was completely down the day I installed it and I heard nothing on both the vertical and dipole. I turned the beam southwest and had a 5-9 signal to FO! My usual S3 reports on the other antennas are S9 on the beam. I usually get through DX pileups on the first or second call with this beam using just 100 watts. I am extremely happy with Mosley.

I was surprised to see the other reviews were almost 3 years old and wasn’t even sure Mosley was still making them. I looked for an ad and couldn’t find one in any of the ham magazines. So I called Mosley and talk to them for almost 45 minutes and went ahead and ordered one. It did take three weeks, as they are extremely busy with their military antenna orders. Nevertheless, it was well worth the wait and the money. I recommend this antenna and give it a 5!

Excellent Beam Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this antenna up over 20 years and have
had no problems with it yet. It is a really good
beam that preforms well and can take high winds.
I recently replaced the coax feeding the beam and
expect it to continue to be a truly good buy for my money.

A classic, smaller footprint performer! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Before a fairly recent move, I had been using an older (from late 1970's) Mosley TA-33 Junior for over 14 years from another location with absolutely NO problems whatsoever!! The only reason I sold it after all those years was because I moved out of my parent's home into a smaller home of my own, and decided to buy a new TA-32 Junior (another GREAT, well performing smaller footprint tribander) with one less element, in order to appease the wife and neighbors. The '33 Junior' still worked like a charm when I sold it! It provided me with years of countless, effortless CW and SSB contacts, WAC, WAS, DXCC, etc. I always ran 'barefoot' with no amp, and still did very well with the 33 Junior. Without question, this model is probably one of the most respected and tried and tested 'Junior type tribanders' on the market. Highly, highly recommended!

WONDERFUL! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had this antenna for about 5 years, and it has always worked very well. I have had it up and survive nearly 100mph wind storms. The tower rocked back and forth noticably, but the antenna held up. When I have had problems, I have called Mosley and they have ALWAYS been wonderful to deal with. They go way beyond what I expect to get it fixed. (Usually when I take it down and reassemble it, and a bent element when I dropped it). They charged me little or nothing to take it in and fix it in their shop. (I took it to St. Louis, in N. County before they moved to Union, MO) They have always had great phone support.

Great Antenna! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had the TA-33 Jr here in Washington up for ten years now. It has the 12 and 17 Meters added on. It is on a 40 Foot tower and has held up through a number of wind storms here on the Columbia Gorge. Would recommend it highly. Also the Mosley Company has been very helpful when ever I have needed their advise.

Great antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this antenna second hand about one month back.
I gave it a full inspection and clean up as the previous owner had it up for more than 15 years.

I found that the traps were as in as new condition and this has been proved via the low swr across the bands.
Even tried it on 27 Mhz via the tuner and found it performs nearly the same as a 5 element made specifically for that band.

The TA-33Jr is mounted at 50ft and works extremely well for a small beam.

Great Antenna Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have had my mosley TA-33 jr up and running for almost 7 years and it has given me great service ever since. Its only mounted on a 6' rooftop tower at 27 feet but it gets me out all over the world with great reports. It still looks great and takes the wind well. I ordered it with the extra element for 17 & 12 meters and turn it with a Yaesu 800-S. If you want a beam but don't have that much room, go for the Mosley TA-33 JR, You wont be sorry.
