Great shack-in-a-box Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Kenwood TS2000X. This is the second i've owned. The first destroyed by lightening! I've had no problems. My current edition 2013 & up.
My thoughts on some possible problems are owners not reading the manual. This is a user defined radio or software defined (SDR) that may take some patience and persistence to fully configure. Not using as an SDR is fine.
Getting into the menu is important if something is not configured to your liking.
You'll have to do some thinking but UTUBE can help or google an issue. N8LB 5 stars!

Shack in the box Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased a Kenwood ts-2000 trusting that Kenwood made a good product. The other Kenwood radios I have owned have been stellar performers. I have 2 kenwood TM-V71A radios. They have been great. A short time with the ts-2000 has my stomach churning. I sent it to Kenwood east because the w meter transmitter was folding back power. I got it back 1 werk ago and it is already folding back power again. The radio was not putting out but 70 watts when new. I talked to the kenwood rep and he said that if they do 85 to 90 watts they are doing all they will. Shame shame Kenwood. You advertise this rig to do 100 watts. What gives?

Anyway, I get the radio back from Kenwood east 1 week ago and it is already folding back power again. I guess I got the lemon.
