MFJ products suck Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Despite warnings of crappy QA, I ordered this antenna for my condo which is severely space restricted. I realized on the last element I was given a screw too short to complete the assembly. The four screws supplied should have been 1 3/4", and I was supplied three 1 3/4" and one 1 1/2"- which isn't even on the parts list. Also supplied, were nearly a dozen extra nuts in separate packs, like they just grabbed hardware and threw it in. Normally, I would run to the hardware store and pick up another screw, but I'm currently enduring virus lock down, which is why I bought the antenna in the first place MFJ- and we all know what that stands for, has a horrible reputation for these types of problems, so much so they claim i the instructions that hardware is guaranteed by weight, and if there are problems, supply a picture of the tag on the box. But their weight method falls flat when extra nuts and washers are added. They need to stop, pull every box off their own warehouse shelves, and count the hardware they include in each box, and they will see the statistics of how bad their problem is. I paid $150 for a cheap product that is unusable for the dumbest most thoughtless reason possible. I know some of you ignore others problems and enjoy MFJ products, but their reputation does precede them. Cushcraft used to be an elite brand in the ham world, but MFJ ruins everything they touch. Yeah- it's only one screw, but that screw means MFJ sucks.
