Great USA made tubes Time Owned: more than 12 months.
There were two US 572B manufacturers, Cetron and United Electronics. Both private labeled for other companies such as GE, RCA, Raytheon and several more. The Cetron built has a shouldered glass structure, the UE is rounded.
To add confusion if you see a round top Cetron it was made by UE who built many for Cetron including the exact Cetron label when Cetron couldnt keep up with demand.

Prior to that there was a UE 572A and a Cetron 572B. All early ones included a T-160L which was the original Taylor who actually developed the tube in the late 50's.

I currently use a Clipperton L and a 6M modified SB-200 with Cetrons for many years so far.

Nothing better! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is the best tube of this type. There is nothing better. I know of no replicas that can compete with the Cetron in quality and longevity. They have been working in my Heathkit SB-200 for decades without complaint. Unfortunately, they are no longer manufactured, but luckly, I have a stock in reserve.

Built to last Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have a pair of original Cetron 572B's in my circa 1974 Yaesu FL2100-B amp. They still produce pretty close to 600W with 60W drive. I never run the amp over 500W out, don't need it. I've also used it in various RTTY contests at about 300W without any problems.

Will probably grab a set of RF Parts tubes in the near future for spares, but I don't think I'll ever need them.

Top Performer Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Cetron 572B are the best tubes money can buy. The tubes last many years and some date back to the 1960s still producing full power output.

Unfortunately, the tubes have fallen out of production many years ago. I still find NOS available and are worth over $200 for the pair.
