Very pleased Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
This side-mount is being used with a 16' "WonderPole" fiberglass mast which is the support for an Inverted "V". The WonderPole is also made by American Flag & Banner.

This mount is attached to a chimney by anchor bolts and Quikrete epoxy. I consulted several masonry contractors who assured me that if the chimney is in good condition, the epoxy would set up and make a strong bond between the steel mount and the masonry.

I used an impact driver rather than a hammer drill to drill four (4) holes into the chimney to attach the side-mount. I filled the holes with QuicKrete, inserted Tapcon threaded bolts and tightened up the bracket to the chimney with a ratchet.

The next day after the epoxy had set, I filled in the space between the mount and the chimney (see photo) with LiquidNail to strengthen the bond even more.

After several windstorms and ice-storms this winter, I'm happy to report the side-mount, masting and chimney are all fine.

Also attached to the chimney is an 80 meter dipole which is center fed with 450 ohm window line which slopes down some 120' from the top of a 140' tree and is tied off with dacron rope.

Contrary to what some others have insisted, a chimney can support antenna masting if the installation is done well and the chimney is sound.
