Works well, better than stock, especially on GMRS. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I did the MARS/CAP modification to my FT70. The stock antenna is too short to reach into the GMRS frequencies very well. This antenna gives me full S-meter receive level on ham and GMRS. As for the glow-in-the-dark tip, it's an unnecessary gimmick that only glows for a minute or two and adds too much weight to the tip. It already whips enough. Otherwise, it outperforms not only the stock antenna, but my MFJ and Comet equivalents too.

Antennas came incomplete and not as pictured Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I spent nearly $112 on product and shipping costs, and I got three useless hunks of wire with no hardware to connect the antennas. I find it hard to believe that they could make a mistake as serious as this. I have emailed them, and inquired. We will see if I ever hear anything back. Somehow I think I will not. HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY.

Great field antenna for the HT Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I initially bought one to replace my scanner antenna, looking for something flexible. It's worked great for the scanner and I usually run it folded over in a radio pouch.
Just bought 2 more with sma-BNC adaptors for a pair of FT-70D HTs.
Really like the QD option which protects the radio connector from stress when not in use as well as lower the profile. Allows me to quickly transition from field use to mag antenna on car also.

Outstanding Performance And Value For The Money Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Much improved performance over stock HT antennas. Great value for the money, I use them on all my HT's (6).

Meh! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The Super Elastic Signal Stick made no difference in signal strength on my Yaesu FT-60R. In fact, I see no real difference in performance compared to the original stock antenna. 3D printing of the SMA connector is rough, too. Get a Diamond SRH519. You'll thank me later.

A lot of hype about nothing Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I wanted to see what all the hype was about so I bought a Signal Stick for my HT. After nearly poking an eye out, I tried it out. I was disappointed. Performance was only slightly better than my stock Alinco antenna and nowhere near as good as my Diamond. Still wanting to believe, I bought one for my FT-60. This time the stock antenna was on par with the Signal Stick and the Diamond brought in more repeaters by far. I like supporting small businesses, but in this case, don't believe the hype.

To keep it short: YES Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The antenna lives up to the hype. It really does everything it claims to do and the quality of the product is outstanding.

It's probably the absolute best HT antenna I own.

WOW! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had this antenna for 30 minutes now and I can't believe the difference! Was beginning to think the FT2D was a POS but it was just the antenna. Sitting in my 5th wheel picking up stuff I never heard before. And hitting repeaters 25 miles away.
Thank you Signal Stuff

Amazing antenna, easily worth double the price. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Let me get this out of the way first, when you purchase any HT follow these instructions.

1. Determine the connector on your HT.
2. Go to SignalStuff.com
3. Purchase a custom antenna for your needs.
4. Repeat for number of HTs.

This is the best HT antenna in the $30 piece range, and possibly in any price range. Not only is this antenna practically indestructible, but it supports the wonderful hamstudy.org which helps soon-to-be hams study the test material for free.

This antenna is super flexible, comes in several colors and connector types (one even glows in the dark!) and to top it off, it has a lifetime guarantee. Also the clear tip of the antenna glows in the dark on all models.

This antenna is just as good, or even better than my Nagoya NA-320A, and is a standard SMA male connector so I don't need a barrel adapter. This antenna is a quarter wave on 2m, and a 3/4 wave on 70cm, also worthy of noting, there are no loading coils or lossy traps with the antenna. Hence why it is not a 5/8 wave on 70cm. I was able to hit and talk with mild static on a repeater that is 9 mi away while sitting on my couch in my house, and I was able to hit my digital voice hotspot that was in my house while in the concrete and brick basement of my neighbor's house using 0.3w on my HT. Very impressive I would say.

There are no downsides with the antenna, other than the fact that it's huge, and you'll probably never have to buy another HT antenna again, unless you want more Signalsticks.

The only oddity with this antenna, is that when it gets cold, the antenna does not spring back to its original shape immediately. It becomes almost pliable depending on how cold it gets, but as soon as you warm it back up it springs right back to its original shape. Not an issue, just kind of interesting.

Overall, this antenna gets an 11/10. It is an amazing antenna, and you'll be hard pressed to find anything that performs better without using an external antenna.

Great Dual Band and 220 Single Band antennas Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have both the dual band 2m/440 and single band 220 antennas and all work very well. Use the dual bands on my Yaesu HT's for SOTA and they don't snag on anything - a little "whippy", but excellent.

Also have the 220 single band antennas for my Bridgecom 220 and an old Icom IC3-SAT (BNC) and both are FAR superior to any stock or after market tri-band antennas for 220. Can hit any repeater around and also excellent for simplex. Great product!
