A great upgrade to OEM rubber duckies Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I replaced the stock rubber duckies on my Yaesu FT3DR and Baofeng UV-5R with Signal Stuff Super Elastic Signal Sticks and am blown away by the reception the radios now. With the OEM antennas I could't hear any repeaters in my area, with the Signal Stick I am able to hear almost all of the repeaters that my IC-9700 and Comet GP-95 brings in. I also get good signal reports when talking on local repeater.

Well made! Flexible! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Great reception, never worry about it bending to the breaking point! Small light weight! I have both the 220 and dual band antennas. The 440 side of the dual band antenna is a 3/4 wave so it preforms much better than the stock antenna, even hearing repeaters that can't be heard on the stock antenna. The 2 meter side is better also but not as noticeable as the 440 side.

Good antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After reading reviews I wanted to try this antenna like the thin, flexible radiator. I haven't had it very long but so far performance meets expectations. And it's light. I am satisfied with my purchase.

I did try to measure the SWR using my VNA and got bad results prompting me to e-mail the company with the data. Well, Richard got back to me, fast, and explained the difficulty measuring SWR on HT antennas. Then I researched the issue on several online sources and of course, he was correct. After 52 years this was my first SWR measurement on an HT antenna; learn something new every day in this hobby.

Ridiculous!!!!! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
THIS ANTENNA IS RIDICULOUS!!!! I can hit repeaters on low that I couldn't hit with my Diamond RH77CA on high power. I'm using this antenna on my Kenwood TH-D74A. It receives FM radio very well, as well as all ham bands and Weather. It doesn't put hardly any stress on the sma connector. This may be because i bought the Diamond BNC adaptor and the BNC Signal Stick. Now back to the performance......IT JUST WORKS!!!!! It may not be the best looking antenna I own, but it IS the best performing. I can coil this thing up and attach my D74 to my belt and I don't get poked in the ribs or back with my antenna. Yet I can uncoil it and hit most any repeater within 30 miles.

Signal Stuff gives each Signal Stick a lifetime warranty (NO QUESTIONS ASKED) And the cost of it ($20) goes to support HAM STUDY.ORG. This thing will go right back to straight after you uncoil it.

UPDATE: After owning my first signal stick for almost a year, I just purchased 2 more. They are a great company with a great mission, and a great product. Their BNC adapters are cheap too.....

Outstanding Antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was sceptic, I admit it. I decided to check the SWR on my HT antenna's out of boredom one day and was shocked. Radio's D74 and FT3. Stock antenna was 6+ SWR and Diamond SRH320A ($50.00 worth) was 8+. So I ordered the Signal Stick. SWR is 1.2-1.4. Wow. I can hit repeaters on EL power that required med to high with other antenna's.

Excellent antenna! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The shack in our new home is in the basement and there are times I like to listen to some of the local repeaters on my HT while in the shack. Replacing the stock antenna on my Yaesu FT-70 with the Signal Stuff Super Elastic Signal Stick sure makes a big improvement. No problem now using the the local 70-cm Fusion repeater while in the basement. Outdoors while walking, reception of distant repeaters is greatly improved with the Signal Stick. Although it is a tall antenna, I don't worry about my HT falling over while sitting on a table or desk and I barely notice it when my radio is clipped to my belt. Lightweight performer with a lifetime warranty and it is made by hams for hams. I will be purchasing more Signal Stick antennas for my other HT's.

Outstanding performer and signal booster Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I was *somewhat* impressed by the improved signal reports I got, using the Nagoya and Retech antennas over the stock ducks, even with tiger tails. But I purchased a Signal Stick on the advice of a friend, and I have to say that it blows the others out of the water, as far as simplex signal reports and being able to hit distant repeaters. I've since purchased several more, and put them on my Boafeng and Yaesu HTs, and even my RadioShack HTX-202, and have given the Nagoyas away.
My Surecom SW-33 reports 1.3:1 on 146.000 MHz and 1.4:1 on 446.000 MHz for SWR.
I also have three that I've got coiled up in our family go-kits, so that we can each use one with our BTech UV-5X3 HTs if we have to bug out.

Works Well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Mine came in the mail this morning. I took it out of the envelope and un-coiled it and it straightened right out. I then did a test on a local repeater that is about 20 miles away. I talked to a friend who told me there was noticeably less noise on the Signal Stuff than on the Diamond SRH701A I had been using. I had previously tested the Diamond against the stock antenna and it outperforms stock. Good product, good service, and a good price. Thanks Signal Stuff. Just a little update. I received my second antenna for my Yaesu FT-4VR yesterday and am very pleased with the performance. I'm good for now but will put these on any future HT's I acquire.

Excellent Results Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The encouraging reviews by fellow hams reflect the same feelings and thoughts as I have about this awesome antenna. Even in indoor operations the results are incredible. All I can say is this antenna is very exceptional and is a MUST HAVE!

Signal Stuff Super Elastic vs Comet SMA-24 & Diamond's SRH77CA Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Signal Stuff Super Elastic vs Comet SMA-24 & Diamond's SRH77CA

I have three similarly sized HT antennas. The Comet SMA-24, The Diamond SRH77CA each of which I have used for while, and the Signal Stuff Super Elastic signal stick. which I received today. Today I ran an unscientific comparison. The Comet and the Signal Stuff were tied in their ability to hear stations and to hit repeaters, both using the antenna alone and the antenna with a Tiger Tail. The Diamond did not perform as well as either of the above antennas in either hearing or hitting stations.

The Comet appears to be well built. It has the thinest of the radiator wires as well as the smallest of the bases that attach to the HT's female SMA. I actually like that it is thin.

The Signal Stuff has a thicker radiator and is slightly longer than the Comet. The base that attaches to the HT's female SMA is also larger than the Comets. I didn't like its thicker antenna radiator as much as Comets thinner radiator. Several times while talking on the HT and moving the antenna hit me in the face. It hurt more then the Comet who also at times hit me in the face while walking and talking on the HT. The build of the Signal Stuff antenna seems to be very durable and I was impressed. The slightly longer length of the antenna radiator over the Comet, didn't seem to make any difference transmitting or receiving.
In a harsh environment I would guess that the SignalStufff antenna would hold up better, but that's just my impression.

As to the Diamond SRH77CA, I would rate it in third place. It didn't perform as well, (whether with or without a tiger tail) as the Comet or Signal Stuff in receiving stations or hitting repeaters. I also perceived it's base and radiator to be thicker and base that connects to the HT is larger the other two. I have a personal concern that due to the thickness of the antenna's radiating wire, the size of the base, and the overall weight of the antenna, that it might be more likely to cause issues over time with the HT's SMA antenna connector, however I did not test for that possibility, rather it is just my impression.

Using my unscientific testing of listening to stations and trying to communicate via repeaters I would rate the Signal Stuff and Comet SMA-24 better then the Diamond. I would like to point out that the Diamond has many happy users, however in my reviewing the three, I would put it in last place. But again, this is my subjective opinion.
