It’s a good straight key after a few improvements Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have my MS2 I bought and built primarily for field use. I designed and 3D printed a navy style knob that makes this pretty useable. I also designed and 3D printed a custom magnetic base so I can affix it to my flight board with a steel plate epoxied to it.

My main gripe with this key and all AME keys and paddles in general is that the contacts are built with off the shelf steel machine screws, later versions have been ground. The contacts are super finicky and require you to carry a small strip of sand paper with you at all times to prevent scratchy sending. I find I have to sand the contacts every other use in the field.

Easy to assemble and a joy to use! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was looking for a small portable straight key for POTA / SOTA activities.

The key took a little while to arrive due to customs issues etc but it only took twenty minutes to assemble.

It it a joy to use and the only thing I would change would be to have a magnetic rather than spring return. Other than that I highly recommend it!

Nice key for portable field ops.. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After looking at other reviews of the MS2, I decided to order one through the AME website. The site took my payment via PayPal and eventually I received a tracking number via email. Once the key arrived, it took me less than half an hour to unpack, inventory and assemble the key from the parts contained in a sealed plastic bag. Overall, assembly was fairly intuitive and I had no issues during the build. After adjustment of the two top knobs, the key felt well-balanced and had a good feel. It will be a nice addition to my field gear during portable operations.

Well contructed, easy to build. Works well, doesn't take up much space, stable. A bit pricey.

Hidden Gem Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I was looking for a backpacking straight key for my FT818 and found this key here. Easy to assemble and it's a very well made- beautiful key. As KV4AN said, I enjoyed thinking about which screw to choose as there are different lengths of screws that seemed good for the ground one. If it is slightly shorter than the ground hole depth, that's it. AME means RAIN in Japanese. So, to me AME keys are hidden gems like blessing showers in CA. TNX Doug !

Perfect for a QRP Go-bag Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've been looking for a straight key to put in my QRP go-bag — small, lightweight, etc. The KS2 is a perfect fit. All machined aluminum, no plastic, crisp operation with a very nice feel. It's well balanced so it stays put when using it without the need to bolt it down or attach it to a heavy base. Couldn't be happier!!

Perfect for FT-817 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Been looking for the perfect Morse Code key for my Yaesu FT-817 and I think I found it. Here is a very small, but very high quality all metal straight key superbly suitable for the FT-817 or other portable QRP rigs. It looks cool too. It comes unassembled and was not too hard to assemble, but the directions were not clear in a couple places. It kept talking about ground screws. I think it meant machined in some way that was not obvious, but after trying the screws in question both ways and blowing the picture up real big, I think I got it right. Anyway, it works great and doesn't make your QRP rig too heavy with all the necessary support gear. Glad I found this. The customer service was top-notch too when I had a little problem with PayPal not having my right address.
