Good vertical Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I bought this antenna in case of replacement of the Hygain av620 who performs also very good .
I give the rating a 4 because the antenna requires guylines . I installed the antenna without them and i had within 3 weeks little damage and the radiator was a little bent .
After a rainshower , swr is moving a little .
You can work every band without tuner .
The R6000 performs on ALL bands VERY well , i made several QSO's around the world with 100 watts (Icom 756-PRO).
Instructions are good and clear .
I didn't test the 6 mtr because no interesting .
The material delivered with the antenna is excellent and better then Hygain (AV620).

Good ANT but!!!!!!!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this antenna because I have a rent house. I am unable to set up a tower and beam type antenna. I had been running a G5RV. Thought I would try somrthing a little better. The set up time was around 4 hours, I followed the directions in the book and the highest SWR on any of the 5 bands is a 2.0:1. I have it mounted 15 feet above ground. It is a very noisy antenna, but I don't of any quiet verticals out there. The reason I give it a 3 is my G5RV matches, and in some cases out preforms the R6000. I payed $39.00 for my G5RV and $125.00 for a tuner. I payed $269.00 for the R6000.

It is a winner Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have had the R-6000 for about a year now and it works great! I get 1.3:1 on all bands and have worked the world with 100 and 600 watts. No fuss, no worries type of antenna. Forget the guys who are always complaining about customer support- how would you like to be at the front desk answering the phone calls from cheap, fussy, and never satisefied 'till it's free hams!!!

OK but 80M Dipole Better Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have to agree with other postings here regarding the R6000. Cushcraft could have done a better job with it's assembly instructions. Once together it is a nice looking package but that's where it ends.

I find the R6000 incredibly noisey. Typically 3 s-units more noise than the dipole which, like the R6000 is approx 35 feet above the ground.

Would I recommend it to others?....only if they never experienced a good sized dipole and only if they were space restricted.

Sorry Cushcraft!

Very Poor Product Support! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've tried to work with these folks, but their tech support is beyond belief! On inquiring regarding dimensions of the antenna (that weren't included in the manual)I was basically told to go sit on a tack!!
I'm not used to being treated like this, especially when I've asked nicely. I have a feeling that they didn't know what the dimension was and were too lazy to ask or find out on their own. Too bad for them, they lost a multiple order sale.

R6000 good virtical rating 4 Time Owned: unknown months.
This antenna is verry easy to asemble even though the instructions could havee been better. I get a good swr across every band except 6 meters which is a wast of time as i could not get the swr lower than 1.9 to 1 .the receive is as good as a dipole sometimes slightly better , but on transmit the signal reports for comparison are 1.5 to 2 s units less than a dipole. I havent put full power to it so i dont know if it will have the problems of the r7000.

Great performing antenna Time Owned: unknown months.
I have owned and operated my R6000 for over a year. I have tuned 10, 12, 15, 17 and 20 to the phone portion and have never had an SWR higher than 1.5 except on 20 when the antenna has been subjected to a good amount of rain. In that case I stay off of 20m until everything gets good and dry, usually a few hours.

Operationally, I simply turn on my IC756, jump to whatever band and frequency I want and start talking. I have been all around the world with it and feel when conditions are good, I can work just about anyone at 100 watts or less on SSB.

I upgraded my R6000 with the "new" 6 meter element I discovered on the Cushcraft website. After some emails (they don't seem to answer phone calls), they shipped me the new element free of charge. I downloaded the new instructions from their website and used it to install the 6m element.

I would recommend this antenna to anyone who wants acceptable performance, low visual profile, ease of installation and tuning, and no digging up the back yard for counterpoises.

If Cushcraft was more "tuned" to their customer base I would have rated the antenna 5 stars.

Outstanding Performer Time Owned: unknown months.
Great job on the R6000! I was very surprised at the performance on all bands. The directions were clear and quite easy to follow. I only had to make one adjustment to the 20 meter stub. I consistently get reports of 5 to 15 db better on the R6000 Vs my old reliable dipole with DX contacts.

A Great Vertical Antenna, once its up.... Time Owned: unknown months.
The R6000 performs great. Every station I have had QSOs with gives great reports and I am very happy with my purchase. I gave the R6000 4 stars. Why not 5 stars? The instructions for putting the antenna were all jamed in to a few pages. I think Cushcraft could afford to put a few more pages in to take the time to seperate some of the steps. Also, the 15 meter portion of the antenna had to be tuned a few times. Its a drag taking the antenna up and down. But once I got things all set, it works GREAT.... 73 Mike
