Great program Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just started using Winlog32 and find it to be a great logging program. I have most of the features working but find nothing much about W.A.S logging. I don't even see a column listing the state! or a place to enter it. DXCC seems easy enough though .. I am sure it is simple once you get used to using it. 73 Carl (N9BPE)

easy to use! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
If anyone takes the time to look through all of these reviews they will see all fives and a few zeros. As far as WinLog32, it is easy to use and Colin ALWAYS answers the questions that I post (in the Forum on his site) within 24hrs. It is fun keeping track of WAS, DXCC, IOTA, and more! I like looking through the many data pages. Gives me a greater sense of accomplishment as I fill my log. I registered because the software was free and I figured he deserved something for his trouble. And I got a map feature having done so...

All you'll ever need .... Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Used it for a few years now and as has been stated already it's all you'll really need in a logging programme.

Updates are regularly available and the author, Colin-G0CUZ, is really helpful if you get stuck. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Wish I had tried it sooner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I like DX4WIN a lot, but in some ways, I like Winlog better. The frequency readout and band spread map is a good addition. The activity graphs that you can produce for your station are neat as well. I'd say its a toss up, though DX4WIN has integrated RTTY and PSK31 and an occasional fee.

This good and "Free"- oh yes!! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I downloaded it about an hour ago and slowly went throgh all the different menus. Had to reinstall it a couple of time due to "user error". After that away I went. Not ever used a contest logger software I was in awe. The databases are an added bonus with lots of information. It also updates automatically to my eQSL page (if you want it to). I also enjoy QRP so added another log easily. I'm off to find out what it can do. Bring on the next contest........Mike (UK)

The Best Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used winlog32 for many years - easy to setup and easy to use.
I have not being confused with the defination of the fields in the program, but many years work with programs have learned me - if anything else fails try to look in the manual. And here is what it says about user :USER

This field can be used for other 'user' interests or Name/QTH, also this field is used in conjunction with the ROVER mode (see), can be used also for smart checking of Locator; syntax same as in Remarks field.

I did not crash my pc! yea! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
One of the first things a new user looks for is getting the SW installed on their computer "without incident". Follow the recomendations for the program path location. WinLog32 get's a A+ for this.
MY "1st boot" impressions are, I can get this to work, the program is very intuitive easy to figure out without resorting to the manual. - A+ again.
The definition for "user" is a bit vague. not sure if that is the name of the op on my end or the name op on the other end... WinLog32 get's a C for this.
Hope this helps, Don KO7i

A superb logging program Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I’ve been using a registered version of Winlog32 for over 5 years and I can’t understand why the few persons that have given it a 0 rating have had so much difficulty using it.

In my station Winlog32 is connected to my FT1000MP, ZL1BLU rotator interface (via PSTRotator) and the DX Cluster to give me complete control of my station.

The DX Cluster interface works very well, a right click on the frequency cell on the DXClusters Window QSY’s the radio the correct frequency and mode, a right click on the ‘call’ cell allows you to add the call automatically to the log complete with the frequency and mode and rotate my rotator. It automatically keeps account of my DXCC count, QSL’s in and out and uploads my log to LoTW. It now even interfaces with Google maps, what more do you want for nothing?

I can only surmise those that have had difficulties have not RTFM, its not rocket science to get it working and I have found Colin’s support quite reasonable considering he has other calls on his time too and charges nothing for the program.

WinLog32 is at the heart of the station here I’d be lost without it. I have it connected to my FT1000MP and to the packet cluster via an old PMR set, WinPack, AGW and my computers sound card. A click on the cluster window and your on the DX frequency. LoTW, eQSL and ADIF import and export all supported. Can’t understand VE6CNU’s comments about it not being intuitive, I’ve never found it a problem to use.

Support from Colin G0CUZ is superb with regular updates and enhancements in response to user forum. Download of FULL version is free but at only £10 to register I would urge you to do so.

Great product and customer support Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using Winlog 32 since 2004 and it is a great logger with many wonderful features. The program is constantly being upgraded with many improvements in the past year or so. Anytime I have had any issues, just an e-mail to Colin and he has been very patient and great to work with to help me solve any problem. I am a registered user and really enjoy some of the features available such as the map feature. If you are looking for a logging program give Winlog 32 a go, you will not be dissappointed.
