Works Great Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Easy to setup and upload logs. Sure there are some QSOs that were not made but not many. This is the way QSLing is going.

2 much information Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have uploaded my logs to eQSL. And I really like the idea - but there's way too much info provided for busted QSOs or the ability to cheat. Granted if someone is intent on cheating they are going to try to cheat no matter what system is used whether paper card, LOTW, or eQSL. But eQSL makes it too easy. I bet I have DXCC on eQSL just in false or busted QSOs (mainly from contests).

A better system would be to keep the date and time blank until both parties can furnish the correct info. If both parties can supply the correct information independantly a QSL is generated. The way it is now I can accept whatever busted or false QSOs show up even if they are not in my original log.

Some built in integrity would go a long way in making eQSL a standard.

I upload my logs to eQSL for those that use it, but I have quit accepting unmatched QSOs. If a QSO isn't in my original log for whatever reason - it didn't happen.

Used For Years Works Great Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I checked into LOTW and I found many people that were not happy with it and that it was so hard to set up and get working. So I gave up on LOTW.

I know that I can not use eQSL cards with the ARRL for awards, those are not important to me but I love having all the qsl cards hanging on wall from all over the world.

I have used eqsl for many years and have never received a qsl from someone that I had not made a contact with.

, I must agree that eQSL is a better product. LOTW is Difficult at best to use after being off the air for a while and EQSL is not. If the operators of EQSL have got it figured out why can't The ARRL?

Has to become wider spread Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I am a happy user of the e-QSL service. But, just like LOTW, many more HAM's should use these services. I have never received an e-QSL for a QSO I never made. While I have paper QSL's for QSO's I never made.....

The "fraudfactor" of e-QSL is at the same level of paper QSL's. No real reason for the ARRL not to accept them. I find it easy to use and like to check my inbox. Will upgrade to one of the memberships soon.

I love to see the e-QSL's coming in for QSO's I "just" made.

The only reason I did not give it the full 5 is that there is always room for improvement. Allthough I can't really find one exept for the fact that it needs many more users.

Better than Log of the World Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is my second post since May 2009 and have been using E-QSL often, especially when I want a new country on a E-QSL card. I know it isn't the real thing as the old postal delivery but many hams are finding it too expensive to send cards direct. I have shoe boxes with more than 4,600 cards from around the world with DXCC worked many times and my logs add up to more than 20,000 contacts since the 1960's. I had to give up on the ARRL Log of the World since it is impossible to use and very unpredictable. With the money ARRL makes, they could at least hire an IT professional to make it work for their members. Am updating to EQSL Silver since they are doing a great service for hams.

Good Service Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have to agree with several of the other postings there is a place for Eqsl. I enjoy the immediate response of receiving the qsl electronically. Using HRD sending your log info to Eqsl is seamless. Just wish more members would send in the documentation to become AG. With CQ mag accepting Eqsl for contest logs there should be an increase in acceptance. I use LoTW as well they can both exist.

Has its place Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
When CQ Magazine announced that eQSL's would be accepted for WAZ and other CQ awards, I signed up and uploaded my electronic log. I really like some of the eQSL images that some users have created, and I have my favorites loaded in a digital picture frame on my operating desk.

It is really cool, for instance, to view an eQSL from TX3A (a remote dxpedition that is in progress) for my 40m contact which is already verified, while I'm still chasing the expedition on 160m!

However, only LoTW confirmation or real QSL cards are accepted for ARRL awards. LoTW is a double blind method to verify that a QSO claimed by one party appears in the other party's log as well.

eQSL and LoTW-- there is a place for both systems and I am happy to embrace them both.

Prepotent system Time Owned: more than 12 months.
The whole idea of electronic confirmations is absolutely logic. 50 years ago there was another system other than the conventional mail, but now, internet is much safer and convenient (if managed properly). So I'm not against electronic QSLs.
But the fact that this eQSL system is prepotent with me, is really annoying. I hate it when a stranger tells me what I have to do without further explanation. I never asked you (N5UP) to send me e-mails with eQSL requests, but you still do it without my consent. eQSL IS ALSO a business. The future of electronic QSLing is in the free and / or open-source, collaborative philosophy.
If it doesn't happens now, it will happen a few years later.
