Works well, but a few issues Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The MFJ-7404 is a rebranded Hanlong model HT-322S. It does fine if you're experienced with coax strippers. If not, go to Youtube and watch the video by Jim W6LG, "How to Install a Coax Connector, PL259 on RG213." Jim uses the 7404 in his demo, and without it I'd have been clueless because the unit comes with no instructions whatsoever.

Issue no. 2: the stripper has two blades, but there are 3 Allen screws to adjust them (?!?). You have to figure out which one of the screws is for the blade that cuts the outer poly on the coax, which one is for the inner dielectic, and which one does nothing at all. Again, no instructions. (Watch Jim's video closely, using the pause button, and you'll see how it's done.)

Issue no. 3: if you don't get a perfect result on the first attempt, you have to adjust the Allen screws. Beware!! If you advance them too far, they will go beyond the thread and fall out. No limit stop!! You can then throw your stripper away and buy another one--the screws cannot be reinstalled.

Bottom line: works fine when it's properly adjusted. But if you're not already an expert, watch the Youtube and go very easy with the screw adjustments.
