Solidly Built 6M Halo Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
The SAL SE-6H is a well-made 6M halo antenna that provides omnidirectional coverage. I find it useful for net operation or working Es. It comes with a well-written manual, but assembly takes time because there are a lot of pieces. All of the materials are of very high quality.

The antenna is designed for horizontal polarization. It does not come with a balun but you can order one from the manufacturer. The balun is designed to isolate the coax but not the driven element. As supplied, the entire antenna is at DC ground to eliminate static buildup and is not isolated from the mast. If you prefer to have the antenna isolated from the mast, you can make a simple modification to achieve this.

Construction quality is excellent. Be careful not to over tighten the hose clamps. If you break one you can get a replacement at your local hardware store.
