AWESOME RECEIVER Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This rig is unbelievable in all stages and even better than the already proven 7300! I have owned this rig for under a week and still learning the unbelievable potential of this out of this world transceiver. What immediately jumps out is its ability to pull extremely low signals out from under the rug. I thought the 7300 did a great job of this. The 7610 begins where the 7300 left off! The functioning panadaptor of this rig is unbelievable indeed!. The more you play with this rig, the more you learn about its potential. The IMD characteristics on this rig is awesome indeed! It blows the 7600 out of the water and compares similar to the 7850 except the 7850 is not an SDR rig. The long wait has been worth it for this stupendous rig! The quality that Icom puts into their technology is unbelievable. Get in line to buy this rig and you will not be disappointed. At most places, you might even get a free Heil microphone to boot. JUST GET IT AND YOU WILL ALSO BE A HAPPY CAMPER!!

ICOM has done it again! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Gentlemen, Icom has set the standard again!
..
The IC-7610 is the DREAM MACHINE for HF!
..
Been up all night running the checkout..WOW!
..
Icom's SDR development is to be applauded.
..
I've compared the IC-7610 A/B with their IC-7851
& I LOVE the IC-7851!
..
I've compared the IC-7610 A/B with a K3S & I LOVE my K3S!
..
I've compared the IC-7610 A/B with a Flex 6700
..
I've compared the IC-7610 A/B with a Anan 8000DLE. & I LOVE the Anan 8000DLE!
..
For PRICE & FEATURES, NO others compare to the IC-7600.
..
ICOM has another winner. The IC-7300 has been a HUGH success, BUT now the resale value of the 7300
will drop. If you've used a IC-7300, you will flip when sitting in front of the IC-7610.
..
After 61 years of hamming...I AM IMPRESSED!

Sweet Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Well I got this Friday afternoon and put it on the air and all I can say is SWEET. Icom did their homework. Touch screen menus system but all the real buttons are still in place on the front of the rig. The menu although intensive is really easy to maneuver through. Nice and quiet receiver and it receives as well as my old 7600 if not better. I do detect a bit of a mess while on 75 meters at net time but usually the only way to get rid of the overly strong adjacent signals there is the power button Hi Hi. Of course I haven't actually tried all the features yet to help get rid of the overpowering signals . Took since Friday to set it all up and get some frequency's in the memories. So far though I give Icom 5 stars. Oh ya to thy guy complaining about the DVI port I have 3 fairly new flat screen monitors and an older one and they all have DVI ? IN fact I have been looking for about a 19 to 22 inch to replace the little 17inch square screen monitor I have hooked to mine. Really its not needed as the screen is quite large but for someone with vision problem this could be the cats meow .

top radio Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.

After nearly 2 weeks of owning and using it, all I can say top marks to the ICOM team....
It really is a great radio in every respect and there are easy workarounds for a couple of small issues. Of course, if you want to save a few bucks and still have a great rig.. go for the 7600... there are a few coming on the market at bargain basement prices.

DVI Video Output Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I don't understand why Icom would choose DVI ad the rear video output connector. DisplayPort output, because it can be adapted to HDMI and to DVI, would have allowed a large number of monitors to be used. DVI output cannot be adapted the other way (i.e. to HDMI or DisplayPort), so compatible external monitors are going to be limited to old computer monitors (probably big, heavy, with tubes, and possibly RF noisy high voltage power supplies). The selection of a very obsolete video connection is a deal killer for me.

Awesome! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The first thing that comes to mind is a great display!
Imagine almost 4 screens from IC-7300. I have the Flex Maestro and TRXs stands side by side. The difference in the size of the display is not visible.
A great receiver. Independent second receiver. Probably not enough knob for the second receiver, but you can without it.
Perhaps an unusual location of the AF MAIN knob. By habit of IC-7300 the hand reaches for AF SUB knob.
The panel of BANDS switches is made of shiny plastic - it looks beautiful, but remains of fingerprints.
Long tested receiver - did not notice any difference with Flex.
Everything is done at the highest level. If you previously used the IC-7600 or the 756 series, then this is your device!

Excellent transceiver Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just put the 7610 in the shack 3 days ago but the improvement over the 7600 and my Kenwood TS-990 I previously had was immediately evident.

Improved signal to noise ratio, recovered audio is far superior and into an external speaker it is magnificent.

I have a lot of noise here at my QTH like most suburban hams and the 50kw solid state broadcast transmitter down the road just adds an other dimension to this challenge. Therefore I was a little concerned that the receiver would struggle, my concerns were unfounded. The 7610 receiver is so much better than the IC-9100 and IC-7300 currently in the shack and a real improvement over the IC-7600 and the Kenwood TS-990 I had until recently.

The screen is very sharp and bright and the resolution is better than I expected. Drives my Expert 1.3K-FA very smoothly, no spikes or overshoot at all.

All the knobs are in the right place and I find using the sub received very easy.

A keeper I am sure.

Thank you for reading.
Cheers
