18 months, daily use, no adjustment. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
What a great set of paddles, purchased in Oct of 18, use nightly, not one adjustment. JUST WORKS. Have Bencher as backup but never use! Made a dust cover to keep it looking like new.

1 1/2 year use update Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Been suing Andy's paddle for a year and a half.Still find it to be one of the best paddles I've used.Have not had to adjust it since day one. It's the American Begali and could easily sell for $300.An unbelievable bargain!

Still a great price for a great paddle Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Although I have owned a highly rated paddle for several years, it was not getting much use. When I saw the buzz on this paddle last year on QRZ, and some of the high end units hams were replacing with this paddle, I was interested and when Andy made a solid stainless steel model available, I was all in.. Although I still do not operate a lot of CW, when I do it is more pleasant and much easier on my arthritis to me with this tool. Even as of last week, Andy has stated this product is still in production. Those who wish to purchase must understand that in a small business environment, and a high demand product, one can hire unskilled workers to meet product demand or ask the demand to be patient and be assured of having a high quality product delivered from the creator. Once Andy sends you an email and tells you that he has a unit ready that he can ship to you, go for it, and rather quickly it will be in your driveway within a very few days.
One additional comment. The Magnakeyer is rock solid on the desk. It does not walk around and frustrate the user at all. I am very pleased with the Magnakeyer.

High quality keyer for a reasonable price! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A friend, NJ4Q, came roaring into our weekly PVRC meeting, last October, exclaiming how he had just acquired a new paddle that was really, really good...and for only $85 or so. I immediately got the details from him and placed my order for one. I quickly received an email from AE8J explaining that there had been a lot of orders and he was having a little difficulty in keeping up with the demand for his Magnakeyer, but that I was on the list and would receive one in 12-14 weeks. Near the end of February, I received an email saying that my paddle was ready, but the price had been increased to (a more realistic $120). I promptly sent my payment and in a few days I got an extremely well packed Magnakeyer (s/n 166). It was, and is, a thing of beauty, but how did it work? I quickly hooked up some jumpers, as you are buying a paddle and nothing else. Ugh. The spacing was too close for comfort. How do I adjust this thing? OK, I see some very small allen screws that will allow me to change the spacing. Conveniently taped to the bottom of the paddle is an allen wrench of the proper size. About one turn to the left on both dot and dash sides produced an extremely comfortable setting. The action is positive and smooth. It has a better "feel" to it than my old dependable Bencher which has now been put on the shelf with my other "antique" keys. I'm a DXer/Contester and normally operate at around 20-25 wpm. I have my Brass Pounders Certificate for 30 wpm and with this beautiful paddle, I"m now comfortably sending 35-40 wpm. This didn't happen automatically. I just enjoyed the "feel" of the Magnakeyer so much that I started playing with it and found that I was constantly inching the speed control on my Logikey keyer a little higher each day and before I knew it I was keying easily at 40 wpm. I love this paddle! Between it and Morse Runner, my goal of 45 wpm actually seems realistic.

Best Paddle I Ever Owned Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received one of AE8J-Andy's March production run paddles and, after a three month wait and a few QSO's right out of the box, I put my Vibroplex Standard Iambic up for sale. This is a beautiful and fully adjustable piece of functional art. It's now my station key as well as portable due to its perfect size. The weight and rectangular base keep it from moving around on my glass-top desk. If you order one, be prepared to wait as each is hand-crafted and stamped with a unique serial number. Originally $80 (brass components model w/stainless base); the price is creeping up as orders increase. Still a great value at $120 delivered (the Vibroplex Standard Iambic black base models are now close to $175)

Fantastic workmanship Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Just received my key just two days after it was shipped. I went with the all stainless steel model. Heavy, not likely to move even with vigorous keying. Great finish and design with near perfect feel to the paddles. This has to be one of the best bargains in ham radio. Clearly, a work of love by Andy to produce these.

Exceptional! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I have had my Magnakeyer for several months now and I must say it is an exceptional device. When you buy one of these, it seems to get better the more you use it. I found that I was a little too heavy handed with my keying and that is not needed with this paddle. It does not slide, it is very precise. My sending has never been so clean and error-free. I did not have to touch the settings out of the box. It was perfect for me as it came.
I would suggest you get on the waiting list for one asap. For the price these go for, it's crazy. It's not just reasonable, it's flat out CHEAP for a paddle that is anything but cheap. IMO three times the current price would not be unreasonable.

You will not regret this purchase.

Quite a value. Great small footprint paddles Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Have had for 72 hours. Made about 100 Q's with it between CWT and casual 40M ragchewing. My usual key is a Begali Sculpture. Well... this is almost a Begali, for a whole lot less money. Far FAR superior to bencher or vibroplex.... it's magnetic. it's smoooooth.

I specifically like the small footprint and height is just right with the 4 rubber feet. The weight is just enough to hold it, but not a 6 pound brick. It is wide, not long, which makes it very stable on the desktop even with my "slap-fist".

The acrylic finger paddles remind me of a bencher - but they are held on by screws and could easily be changed to thinner material - you could roll your own finger pieces out of hardwood, plastic, acrylic, or even carbon fiber - a favorite for feather-lite touch.

Nice produce for good value/price/performance. My second one is on order for use mobile and portable.

5 STARS ALL THE WAY. MADE IN THE USA. HAND CRAFTED BY A HAM FOR HAMS. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE !
