The Best I have found Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I purchased a popular logging suite, but it does not hold a candle to N1mm.
The look and seamless application is easy to set up and use, much easier than the other program.

Not as complicated as it looks Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I had started contest logging around 1999 with NA. Had to switch when my newer version of windows wouldn't agree with NA, so I went to Genlog. I had looked at N1MM from time to time but it must be complicated, as it has a 900 page manual. Anything with that long of a manual must be difficult to understand.

This past June I needed to convert the WSJT-X ADI file to a Cabrillo file to submit my log for the ARRL Digital contest. I couldn't get any of the on-line converters to work, but someone informed me that N1MM could do it. So I downloaded the program and converted the file. Then I starting playing around with it, without it being hooked up to the radio. Just to familiarize myself with it, and it didn't seem so bad.

I finally made the switch when I replaced my TS590S with a Yaesu FT450AT. Being the AT model, it didn't have the MH-31 with the buttons to control different functions on the radio, and I needed someway to easily control the CW memories and voice keyer memories while contesting. N1MM will do this. I can push the F1 button and it will send CW memory 1 or voice memory 1. Push F2 for CW or voice memory 2, etc. These are using the messages stored in the radio, not any voice files I saved on the computer, which N1MM can also do. It just seemed easier to do it this way-but it is more limited.

Interfacing the radio to N1MM was straightforward, as it setting up new logs for each contest, and it seems to support about every contest out there. I probably read about 74 pages of the manual, tops. Most of it was related to things I was not doing so I skipped over them.

I am not using it for rotor control, band maps, or other features beyond simple logging and message control. I don't have a CW interface with it, and I still use the VFO dial for tuning. So the program isn't that complicated to get up and going, does everything I need it to, and is FREE! How can you beat that.

It seems to have great support as well, with updates coming about every week or so. There is also a great N1MM users group on Groups.io in case you need any help with it.

If you are looking for a good logging program to use, that is FREE, this might just be it for you too. Don't be scared off by the size of the manual, most of it you can skip over. Now I need to learn how to use the MMTTY plug it for it in time for the ARRL RTTY Roundup.

Great Logger for my needs Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I'm not a contester. Not to say I won't be someday. I have been using N1MM logger for several months now. I am mostly a rag chewer, but I do like doing DX. When DXing I like logging all my calls and this is a very easy to use and set up. This is paired with an Apache-Labs Anan 7000DLE mkII. With new improvements made in Thetis (the SDR software for the Anan) the TCP/IP setup took about 5 minutes and it was connected. I may come and update my review in several months.

A Superb Product Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I love the way that this program interfaces with the radio(s). I don't use the CW, rotor or most other non-log features, but they are there for those who need them. I like the way that N1MM+ saves what I have entered, even if my power fails. I lost a fair number of QSOs during NPOTA when I had a power glitch with another program and had to finish with paper logging. Several hams did not get credit for both a national park and national trail.

There are those who don't use it for everyday logging, but it works great for my purposes. I just use a DX log, which also doubles as a good bare bones general purpose logger.

I also appreciate the way that the various staffers are continually updating this program. Keep up the good work!!

Works for me! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I am an occasional, casual contest operator. Definitely not a big gun station. I've been using N1MM for a while now, and I like it. It has way more features than I use. But that's OK, because to me that is room for growth as I learn more and develop. Used it for Field Day this year, the Ohio QSO Party, and most recently ARRL CW Sweepstakes. The logging program performed better than I did. The support is excellent, the program is excellent, and for the price (it's free!) you just can't beat it. For what my opinion might be worth, it's highly recommended.

Best contest logger Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I'm a casual contest op, and thought N1MM would be way beyond what I need. One day I found my regular day log (the excellent Log4OM) didn't handle a particular contest so I thought I'd try N1MM.

Firstly, be aware this is not for your day-to-day logging. And the UI is functional rather than beautiful. There IS definitely a learning curve. Like any serious logger you need to setup CAT and interfaces to external logs if needed. You need to understand what the various windows do, and how to interpret what they're telling you. But there is a whole "getting started" page that guides you through this.

Once you're up and running it makes contest ops so easy.

The band map shows you clearly what calls you've already worked, which calls are out of scope for this contest, which are the best calls to work next in terms of multipliers, and much more.

Actually logging a QSO can be a matter of a couple of keypresses, so you can spend more time on making contacts, not logging them.

N1MM calculates your score as you go along, according to the rules of the specific contest and creates a Cabrillo log ready to send off to the organiser.

I have looked at a couple of other contest loggers but found them too complex/incomprehensible/lacking in clear documentation/time-sucking to get started with.

Great job, N1MM and team.

Gave up on it Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I find N1MM to be overly complicated and bloated with features I can not use - features only useful at contest palaces with automated and rotating everything. For my needs it's too much and not worth free. Based on the reviews, it seems N3FJP will better suit my occasional needs so I'll pay to try it instead.

Contester? Get N1MM! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
About five years ago, N1MM+ replaced a competing popular contest logger and I have never looked back.

N1MM+ does it all and does it well.

Fully supported and regularly updated.

100% satisfied!

Get it!

Meets Every Need/Expectation Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is a phenomenal piece of software. While it may be somewhat complex for things beyond what an average station needs, the bottom line is it still does it and does it well.

I am unable to articulate all the positives of this program if you are into contesting. If you want a "day logger" this is not it, but for quick and versatile contest logging, look no further.

Waited far too long to switch! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Used another software that cost $30 for years and years. Did not want to learn something new. My entire contest group uses N1MM and kept encouraging me to switch and learn it. Finally got sick and tired of the old one failing me right in the middle of the contest and made the effort....OMG! After several contests of learning all the features and now I couldn't ever go back. The support is amazing. I keep finding more and more features every contest.
