Superb Contesting Software Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have used N1MM for several years now, and recently moved to the new "PLUS" version (which is still free). This is a fantastic piece of software, probably the best free software I have ever seen. The support forum and support by the N1MM team can't be beat. Example - I once was working a contest and found a somewhat annoying bug that was unique to my radio. The next morning, while the contest was still ongoing, they sent me a special version that fixed my problem, before they could upgrade the product. What else can I say?

I have been using N1MM about 3 years now. I am still learning all the features. It is a superb piece of software. I have used tons of free software, and this is as good as it gets.

There apparently are other contest loggers out there but I tried this one first and have no need for any more.

I mainly use N1MM in ARRL SS and the Virgina QSO Party. This year, for the first time, I started using it in SO2R mode with an Elecraft K2 and an ICOM IC-7000. Best score ever, but still a long way to go. The ease of use and the extent of the functions available make N1MM a real joy to use.

I have heard that there are sometimes "troubled" releases (like any software), but have never had a problem. You do want to check often (weekly?) for new releases, as they come frequently.

Fantastic - N1MMLogger+ Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Thanks team for all the hard work on this amazing piece of software! I was introduced to the Classic version by KH7Y (of tropo ducting fame) during the June Field Day activities here on the Big Island of Hawaii.

I am a Mac computer guy and N1MMLogger+ runs super under VMWare 6.0.4 and Windows 8.1. As a fairly new US Extra class ham, the bandmap and the total hardware integration/control with my Elecraft KX3/KXPA100 has changed my operating style completely. For us QRP and low power guys without pan adapters, this FREE software takes most of the work out of S&P.

I didn't know the N1MMLogger Classic at all, but the learning curve for this tool is not too bad, there are plenty of resources available on line.

I use a 13" Macbook Pro Retina (late 2013), OSX 10.9.2 with 2 monitors, 1 screen with my Mac stuff and the other screen with VMWare/Windows 8.1 and the various N1MMLogger+ windows.

Mac folks thinking of a complete contesting package ... run, don't walk to N1MMLogger+!

Perfect for contesting/DX Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I use it at my operating position for logging the QSOs, both during contests and DXing. My TS-590s is controlled by CAT and I use a Winkeyer compatible keyer by K3NG. It also key my TS-590s "Voice memories" so it's perfect for CW and SSB.
Learning how to use all the features and shortcuts is not easy, but after a few hours you start to really enjoy its great ergonomic and visual features.
Together with QScope for statistics and DXKeeper for QSLing, I have everything to smoothly operate my station.

Good stuff! Time Owned: more than 12 months.
It's the Swiss-Army knife of logging software.

Free

Big learning curve so read the manual

Be careful asking questions of the forum, I thought I was asking a simple, non-threating question about networking and I got slammed from one of the N1MM Ops - Ham made me feel like I was questioning his family or something

hmmmmm read the DAMN manual!

Cheers All,

I connected my rig :) Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using N1MM for several years.
I have been entering mode and frequency manually all these years.
I found the serial to usb adapter and CD which was included with my Ten Tec OMNI VII that I purchased in 2009.
Put the CD in the W7 PC and it had drivers for Win XP & Vista.
Called Ten Tec and Gary said the serial to usb cable has a defect in it.
I remembered that I had (DB-9) Com-1 & Com-3 added to this computer when I bought it. NOT from a big lot store :)
I had a standard DB-9 cable in my junk box, which made it easier to set up!

No more making errors with N1MM Entry Window and having to Edit, which takes up precious time in a contest:(

Using N1MM with the rig doing half the work is much more fun now!!

The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread or Keith Richards Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Wonderfully STABLE program which has continuous (weekly) updates on the N1MM website.........Great program for all you incredibly "frugal" (just plain ass cheap) amateurs as well. Everyone likes free, right?

I put 21,600+ Q's into N1MM in 2012 without any hiccups at all. I augment N1MM with a K1EL USB Winkeyer which makes contest QRQ CW both accurate & highly enjoyable.

It's free, it's simple & it works.........."Good luck in the contest".

Great contest log Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
To the last poster, I just started using N1MM after many years of using CT but my old windows 95 computer died so when I got a new laptop and downloaded N1MM it was like it was made for it. I only played around with it during some qso's on 40 during the CQWW DX phone and liked it allot. I do use the DX log format for regular logging and it work fine for that, name and coments space does enough but its soo easy to use.
