State of the art DSP HF Receiver Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This receiver represents the ultimate in an HF 0 to 30 mHz receiver. It has 57 filters from 16 kHz to 100 hertz. The skirts are so steep that with the 100 hertz filter engaged, I can only hear an s9+ signal over a total of 120 hertz.
The front end is rock solid with a very high dynamic range. There are 3 agc rates (fast, medium, slow) plus a programmable rate that allows you to select the attack , hang, and decay rates. Synchronous AM is wonderful changing AM SW stations into near FM quality.

I have written my own software with this that allows this receiver to be perfectly married with my Pegasus. The rx331 becomes my primary receiver and the pegasus receiver becomes the sub-receiver, acting as VFO B. This works like a dream. Even on SSB, with filters with skirts this steep, there are significant changes when going from 2.4 to 2.6 kHz filters. The PBT works great.
