quality control by steve wonder Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
had to drill out the mounting holes on the base plate to get the feeder mast to fit , then the fun started . checked the resonance on 20m and all was good but every other band was resonant out of band by about 400k except 10 and 6 which were over 1mhz out of band

edit swr seems to change on a daily basis depending on rain or humidity or alignment of ley lines , i dont know but running a swr sweep before use is recommended
EDIT did not even survive a full Scottish winter

Very good antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased this antenna in WIMO. I assembled and installed it without problems, I received all the parameters as in the description for all ranges. The antenna is made of high quality, from good materials. No additional work is needed during assembly. This is my first directional antenna after dipoles and vertical antennas.
I recommend to everyone who has limited space for installing antennas.

Great performing antenna Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I built and installed the Hexbeam in a few hours. I had a problem with 15m not being resonant and the 20m element snapped. One quick email to Martin Lynch and the factory in Germany sent the replacements within a couple of days. I've worked Australia and Japan on 20m and Togo on 17m. I've worked 10 new countries and I'm busting pile-ups. It hears stations that I just don't hear on my ocfd. This is one serious performer of an antenna and you won't regret buying it. Yes you can buy from Poland cheaper but you will have to wait a minimum of 6 months for delivery and its the same antenna. I'm happy and the customer service is great.

great Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Well I have to disagree with both of the previous reviews.....had mine about 6months now. It went together no problem...the hub was all bolted together and it is nothing like the MFJ hex beam that I've seen.
It took me approx 2 hours to put together by myself, onto the mast and wound up to about 40' or so.
Checked swr on all 6 bands with my aim 4170c and well within specs,
a few tests and gain, front to back checked
Im happy with it.

Awful. JUNK Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
A very good friend of mine purchased the EA hex beam and i agreed to build it and erect it for him on the tower.Avoid buying the junk EA ANTENNA HEX BEAM / MFJ HEX BEAM which are the same antenna. I had to re drill all the holes on the base plate to get anything to align and fit correctly, The Insulators are made out of perspex and have razor sharp edges which cut straight through the 10 meter wire within the first 24 hours of the antenna being erected on the tower in moderate winds and most of the other wires elements were also rubbing and starting to cut through (All the support wires were fitted correctly on the Hex beam). The antenna was taken down and sent back to ML&S for a full refund.

This Hexbeam is a total waste of money and big disappointment from EA Antenna.

Stay well Clear Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Stay well Clear of the EA ANTENNA HEX BEAM also The MFJ HEX BEAM because EA also make that one. We had to Drill all the holes because the size was to small for the bolts to fit and the insulators were sharp edged causing 2 of the elements to break also over all not a strong Antenna. Got mine from Martin Linch & Sons I have sent it back.
