Wonderful Microphone Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
In my 50+ years as a HAM I have owned and used many different microphones and the Yaesu M-100 gets the best audio reports of all. I don’t have to ask for an audio report and get many good reports. Many say that my audio is just like an FM commercial radio station. I use both the elements all the time for high quality audio.

Awesome! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The M-100 is my first desk mike and I rate it at 5+ with the Yaesu FTdx10. Reports are all very positive without my asking. Comments such as "Sounds like we are in the same room with you sitting next to me" are not uncommon. I have other rigs with boom headsets by well-known brands and stock mikes, but the M-100 outperforms them all. Well done, Yaesu.

Essential Equipment Time Owned: more than 12 months.
from a SK friend estate and colleague KL7GLT. in use everyday with no complaints or problems. virtually totally immune to RF in the shack. with the mic gain @ 12 o'clock on my Yaesu FT-920 todays net check-in reports are 9+ over perfect audio response & clarity.

High quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Initial impressions are of a very well made microphone. It’s not cheap but has dual elements independently selectable or they can be used together. High and low cut filters and a ptt switch that simply has to be used to be believed.
The audio is very clear and of course can be further equalised by most modern transceivers. It can be tailored within the mic using the filters and selecting mic cartridges to suit your operating.
Whilst it is expensive. You get a mount and a beautiful ptt which would all cost extra with some other well known brands.
It is indulgent to have such a high end microphone when a cheap computer one will do. But if you want a well engineered high quality mic that doesn’t just ‘do’ then I would recommend this one.

Dual Element Desk Microphone Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Having used earlier desk microphones with earlier Yaesu rigs over the years,
I must say that this M-100 works extremely well with my FTDX 3000.
Tweaking the equalizer settings inside the 3000, and using
both the condenser and dynamic elements, I was able to attain a very nice sound quality.
The PTT is velvet smooth too.
