Superb Performer Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
One year since my last review in 2018 and I couldn't be any happier. Performance is superb, the servicing area has improved, less rain sputter during downpours, overall, you would be happy having this antenna with your repeater.

Just took a Diamond x510 antenna out of service after 10 plus years of Repeater service on 70cm's. Though the antenna survived Super Storm Sandy, it became troublesome in recent years. I had issues where reflected power exceeded 15 watts. After examining the antenna, it appears that the antenna separated from the assembly where the fiberglass comes in contact with the coaxial connection. This may have allowed water to seep and collect into the bottom of the antenna. The feedline LMR-400 was well intact and the connection was clean with no signs of water intrusion or damage from arching. Feedline appeared to have weathered the years well without any compromise to the jacket. Examination of the new antenna is that for a commercial built antenna, it appears to be well built, has a thicker fiberglass pole and has a little more weight to it compared to the "Hammy antenna".
I placed the new Comtelco antenna in-service this morning. VSWR was less the 1/2 watt reflected power and the antenna is being fed with 30 feet of RG-214 cable with N connector at the antenna and pl-259 amphenol going to the repeater. I am getting 135 watts out of the duplexer when measured with a BYRD meter. I will provide a follow-up review in the next several weeks.
