Diamond Does it again Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have always been a fan of Diamond mobile and base vhf/uhf antennas. After reading the Champion Radio vertical test book I decided to go with the Diamond CP6A. I ordered from Ham Radio Outlet in Delaware. Installation is 20 feet in the air on a mast attached to a house bracket. Installation/assembly/coax runs etc took me about 5 hours total. About two hours for the antenna itself in the garage. I did the install alone, so with a helper you could do it quicker. With my LDG AT-11mp it tunes 80-10 with no problems. I would recommend for a city lot where a large radial field is not practical. The usual Diamond quality keeps me buying Diamond products.

Works Very Well Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This one is a great performer for it's size (it is under 15 feet) and is very easy to assemble, though I would much appreciate if the guys at Diamond wrote a better instuction manual as this would help the new hams a lot.
Mine is mounted at 200 feet above the ground level at the attic of my apartment building. I have worked several countries with it with just 40 watts on all the bands except 80 and 6 mts. I would highly recommend this vertical to all!

Fantastic Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I was thinking of settling for a Cushcraft vertical. I went by what my trusty dealer suggested and got myself a CP6. Carried it all the way to my holiday home in India and with the help of a couple of hams friends, I put it up. The instructions were very well illustrated and easy to follow. Put it up and ran it with my 706MKII. Wow, I cant imagine the pleasure of running pileups inspite of lousy band conditions. There was a occassion when I had a VK9 (whom I was barely copying) call me on 10m! Its a great antenna and I am really satisfied.
