|This panel is bare wood, and not painted white like earlier MFJ feedthrough panels. It has large knots in the wood, and isn't very attractive.|
The weather stripping that came with the panel is either old or very cheap, since I couldn't get the paper backing off, except in pieces a few inches long. The torn end was very thin, and it was hard to get the backing separated, and then it tore right away. I went to the hardware store and bought 3/4" weather stripping, which was easy to apply, just like all the similar weather stripping I have used in the past. This panel, with holes instead of connectors, may save a little loss at VHF/UHF frequencies, since 3 additional cable/panel connectors are not in the signal path.
