Review Summary For : K1EL Morse Tutor Touch Keyer
Reviews: 2MSRP: 22
Description:
The MTB was designed to be a low cost educational platform for learning and practicing Morse code. Everything the student needs is on the board including touch pad inputs. Optimal touch paddle sensitivity is maintained by an auto-calibration algorithm. The MTB is implemented in a Microchip PIC16F1825 microcontroller and utilizes a special version of the K1EL K16 keyer core which provides a wide range of features. Setup commands are directly entered on the paddles in Morse code. All settings and messages are stored in nonvolatile memory so that they are preserved when the keyer is turned off.
Product is in production

GREAT! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Easy to put together, had trouble with instructions, Steve was most responsive.

Super way for me to brush up on my CW!

Awesome Keyer and CW Trainer! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Wow! Very cool new product from K1EL. I ordered the unit and it arrived shortly thereafter. It took me about 2 hours to build which was enjoyable. Not difficult at all. The downloadable manual and build instructions are A-1.

The keyer works very well. It has 'built in' touch pads to key dits and dahs (or act as regular key if you want). It acts a CW trainer, a real memory keyer, a beacon device and more. The programming, while very feature rich, is easy to program.

This would be an amazing ham class project.

And only $22! Buy one!

Well done K1EL!
