Super Quality and Support! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
In early 2018 I contacted Radio Echo Communications to ask about replacing my old failing Force 12 antennas.
The antennas are at 72 feet high on an island in the Puget Sound and receive heavy winds. I received
good advice, and the GXP 7 element 7 bands seemed ideal to provide a directional antenna on
all bands 40m to 10m. The price was very good. Shipping was fast and affordable. The
parts arrived exceptionally well packed. The materials were of high quality and easily assembled.
The assembly and instructions were clear and easy to follow, even though in Polish language.
I received prompt answers to my questions from the representatives in the US and
Poland. On-the-ground testing showed no problems, so we raised it up the tower and checked
everything. All bands worked well and had proper SWR curves except 30m, which was fixed
when I shortened the 30m shunt matching coil. It is wonderful having gain and directivity on
7 bands from one antenna! The antenna has been up for 6 months now, through winter weather,
with heavy daily and contest use, at full legal power. The only minor problem has been
some rotation on the mast from the heavy winds, solved by re-tightening the mast clamps. The
antenna continues to meet all promises and expectations, and I am completely pleased with the
antenna and support. I would highly recommend the GXP 7 element 7 band to anyone needing "many
bands on one tower." The reasonable weight and good quality of construction materials predicts
this antenna will provide good service for many years.
