solid performer Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I typically like Comet antennas - had great results with a GP-3 and am now using a CA-712EF that is brilliant for 70cm (FM and DMR). Got the GP-95 as it is a go-to for the Icom IC-9700. I'm actually using it mostly for 70cm as I instead use a small 2M yagi and haven't explored 1.2G much yet but once I add a triplexer I'll work it more on the higher frequencies.

Easy to assemble (I like the single piece antennas), easy to mount, and works with my temporary tripod configurations (we rent).

good tri-band with 23cm Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I got the GP-95 installed last night well after dark but was worth it to hear the 1.2ghz repeaters nearly full scale for the 1st time.
I got the comet tri-band GP-95 a few years back from DXE and had poor results with 76 feet of 9913F up 30ft. some 259 to ā€˜n’ adapters.
So I switched to a 28ft run of Andrew Ldf4-50 flex line with no adapters and up 25ft ( right above the shack ) with much better results.
23cm requires very low loss cable ( think 1/2inch flex/hardline) and dont even think about 259 to 'N' adapters.
I am able to compare the GP-95 ( 4 feet off the roof line ) with my GP-15 up on the tower and compares very well on stations within 60 miles.
Local 23cm guys recommended the just over the shack install rather than the cable loss in a tower install.
