Not Good I think Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I am reasonably sure (opinion) after reviewing a friend's purchase, this is essentially the popular BM-800 or BM-700 microphone sold by multiple vendors on eBay - which is ... um ... er ... (just) OK if used carefully and at a proper working distance. I am sorta surprised to see this sold for as much as $70 from some vendors - as I purchased a BM-800 for less then $20 (including shipping.) The BM-800 provides average audio quality with modest to annoying (you be the judge) self-noise (i.e, hisssss) on its output signal - indicating a low signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. I replaced the condenser capsule and the selfpnoise (i.e., hissss) remained, so I believe it is caused by low quality components in the condenser board (located in the lower, black portion fo the handle/case.) This is not what I consider (opinion) a bargain, as I believe other microphones in the same $25-30 price range are quieter and sound much better, and one can acquire what I believe is essentially the same product for substantially less money (although then the consumer must bake or purchase his own cable, whereas this vendor adds some value by suplying a suitable cable for the task.) I certainly do not consider (opinion) this worth $70. Of course, I may be mistaken - notwithstanding microphones IS one of my favorite hobbies ... Be diligent and careful and be sure you are getting good value for your dollar, but I consider this a mere $20 microphone. This is just my take - your mileage may differ. K8JHR

Excellent Boom Mic Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this microphone as part of a complete package, including the boom. For the price, you can't beat it. One thing to be aware of is that this is a "side address" condenser mic, so it does not have the typical cardioid response. As a result, it picks up more room noise than such microphones. This mic would perform best in a quiet operating room, without loud fans or other equipment running. Other than that, it works very well and is an excellent value for the price. I am using it with an ICOM 7300. W2ENY is a great guy and very nice to do business with. 73--

Very nice Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
After using the OEM hand mic or a headset when doing a net and needing 6 hands, I decided on this nice addition to my shack. What a difference to be talking without feeling like I was eating the microphone. Very good audio reports after spending some time adjusting the radio gain and audio profile on my Yaesu 450D. I got a boom arm today and just finished setting it up too. Very happy with my purchase. Oh, and it looks nice too. I did add the included foam windscreen, so the beauty is hidden a bit but the audio is still great.

very nice mic. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have only had it for a few days now but I am already getting great, unsolicited audio reports. Seems very well made and comes with a very nice shock mount. Exceptional mic for the money. Compares favorably to mics costing twice as much imho.
