LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I currently run remoterig..icom rs-ba1..and now remote tx!. I believe ill phase out remote rig...however i do still love my icom software to control my 7610,7100,9700 at various locations. That being said...Remotetx is added to my arsenal now as the mobile phone solution ive been looking for! It runs my 7300 in my shack perfect. I absolutely promote this product for its simplicity and incredibly low cost to setup. The instructions from the website are super simple and there really isnt much to figure out. Incredible design and functionality!!

A great Remote System Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have been using remoting systems for well over 14 years. I started with GlenTec which was a telephone based system using an Icom 706. It worked but the audio quality was based on the phone system. I moved to Remoterig.com boxes. The Remote Rig boxes work great, I still use them from my house as well, but the system is expensive and not usable with a smartphone, and you do need to have networking knowledge. I have also tried The Icom Software (RS-BA1) and I had a Flex 6400 with a Mestro. All worked on some level but not as smooth as RemoteTX. With the exception of RemoteRig.com all suffered from latency issues.
With RemoteTX (which I have been using for over a year) I can fire up the remote station, control other shack devices with the GPIO pins, make contacts all from my iPhone. It never fails to amaze me. My current RemoteTX station consists of an IC-7610, ALS-600 and a Raspberry PI - It just works. Easy to set up, no port forwarding or networking knowledge necessary. Did I say: it just works? The monthly fee is very reasonable, the cost of necessary additional equipment is low - basically a Raspberry PI and a memory chip.
If you want to remote your station this is the easiest and most cost-efficient way to do it and IT JUST WORKS!

Gamechanger! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Being in an HOA and no ability to put up an antenna, remote operation is my only way to join the airwaves. I particularly enjoy chasing parks in the Parks On The Air program. I mainly use CW but dabble in SSB and FT8/FT4. This system is a turnkey solution and is heaven sent!

A Great Solution for Remote Operation Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
I signed up for the RemoteTx service in March (2021), and it has been fantastic. The radio is an Icom IC-7610 and support for that rig was still in development when I signed up, but Marcus has done a great job of implementing all the key features of the rig into his browser-based interface.

When traveling, I generally just use my iPhone to access the station. I've also used the iPad a few times. Either one works great, both when using cell coverage or hotel WiFi. It's nice not to have to lug a laptop to be able to operate remotely, and people tell me they can't even tell I'm operating remote -- I even get great audio reports from the iPhone's internal mic.

The next step for me is to integrate my Yaesu rotor so I can turn the hex beam. RemoteTx supports Yaesu rotors and I purchased the ERC USB interface, but I haven't installed it yet.

Once the rotor control is in place, the only thing missing will be control of the SPE amp. I have it set to turn on with the rig, but I'd like to be able to toggle the Operate state. I know Marcus is working on some basic amp controls, but I may be able to do what I need with a small relay on one of the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins... a little research is needed there.

All in all, I'm very happy with RemoteTx, and highly recommend it as a solution for remote station operation.

Perfect for my IC-7300 Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Couldn't be happier with RemoteTX. Just added an external VFO knob to my iPhone with a Lightning to USB adapter. Just like being in front of the radio.

Customer service is tops!

It just works! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Installed this 3 weeks ago. The radio I am using is an ICOM IC7300 and it works perfectly. Very easy to get going. I also use the ICOM RSBA1 on my 7610 and in spite of what some other people are saying, that is also great and very reliable, especially with the built-in server on that radio.
The big advantage of RemoteTX is the ability to use just about any device that can run an internet browser, iOS, Android, Windows etc... they all work with a minimum of fuss and very good control of the radio. No separate audio streaming software or device is required, just a little Raspberry Pi with one USB connection to the radio and an internet connection. No ports to open, works perfectly on an iPhone over 4G when you're out and about. The only thing missing compared to the RSBA1 is the spectrum display, not a big deal for me.
Well designed! If you have a need (or want) for remote operation this one is tops!

Excellent and simple remoting Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I live in two different locations. One is high-density suburban condo community with strict HOA rules about antennas and a very high RF noise level. The other is a very rural location with virtually no RF noise. Obviously I can only enjoy HF operating using remote technology. I've tried several and the best so far is RemoteTX. I bought a 6 month subscription for a mere $40 and gave it a try. I have an Icom IC-7300 in my rural location hooked up to a Raspberry Pi 3B. The way this works is you download a complete image for your pi, write it to an 8 gig micro SD card and put it in your Pi. Hook up your radio via a USB cable, power on the radio and the Pi. Then you use a browser (Chrome is best) to go to [your call sign].remotetx.net.

The instructions on the web site are good and clear. I had a few technical problems to overcome and then it works great. Real simple to use. Works on my Android phone and my Windows 10 desktop.

Fortunately, my rural location has just had fiber optic installed with 250gb bandwidth. Pretty awesome. So remote ops has very low latency.

I exchanged a few emails with questions which were answered promptly. I highly recommend RemoteTX if need to operate remotely.

Here's a kick. I operate mobile through my phone to my rural transceiver. As long as I have a good cell signal it works great.

This is remarkable.... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I've had a lot of fun operating remotely for five years with Remote Rig and an IC7100. I decided to try to remote my IC7300 and looked at alternatives. The hardest part of setting up Remote Rig was managing the ports on my router. One of the attractions of RemoteTX is that it bypasses this. I had an extra Pi3, loaded the image as instructed, registered, and it worked immediately. This morning I received rave reports on 40 meters. I'm not giving up remote rig and the 7100, but now I have the option for an even better interface with a better radio with the IC7300.

Easy To Use, Great Support Time Owned: more than 12 months.
If you have one of the supported radios, it is extremely easy to set up and use, and with great support if you have any issues.

The audio transport side is well done and embedded in the browser, unlike competing products.

Yes, you have to pay a small yearly fee, but it is well worth it.
