Easy to Use, great Support Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Easy to use, great support, using the remote on an IC-7200 with tuner on 80/75M LSB and AM. Very low delay. QSO's from the other side of North America from my QTH...plan to "jump" the Atlantic on 6M with remote when the band is open.

Great Product, Easy to use Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Fantastic product, just works.

After having fought RSBA-1 for over a year I came across remotetx and wanted to give it a try. I found the installation and ease of use to be extremely easy and a much better alternative to RSBA-1 for remote operation. Installation was pretty much plug and play if you're already familiar with connecting your radio for digital modes. If you're on the fence between this and RSBA-1 save yourself the headaches and frustration and start with remotetx.

RemoteTX is outstanding for ham radio remote control Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
RemoteTX is an outstanding ham radio remote control product. It’s quick and easy to setup, costs under $75.00 for the hardware and about $6 per month for a subscription. You can access your ham radio by remote computer, laptop, tablet or cell phone. I use my Iphone to access my all band Yaesu FT-991 and RemoteTX provides full functionality for HF, UHF, VHF and C4FM. If you want an almost plug and play setup and complete remote access to your ham radio, this is the product for you. And to top it off, Marcus provides excellent product support. Thanks again to Marcus and the RemoteTX team!

A solution to QRM, HOA, Distance problems Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
When I am on my boat in the Pacific Northwest almost every morning I tune into The Great Northern Boaters Net on 80 m. However, when I am not on the boat but in California near Lake Tahoe for the winter it is virtually impossible to communicate due to the greater distance and severe QRM. Earlier this month I subscribed to a 30 day trial of RemoteTX, bought an ICOM 7300 and a Raspberry Pi to control it. After assembling and testing the system on my home network I took the whole works to Washington State where my brother lives. First I verified the Boaters Net was in the clear and I could communicate. Whereas at my winter QTH there are some serious HOA restrictions on antennas, that is not the case at my brothers. I put up an inverted V and have been pleased with the result. I bought a one year subscription and am delighted with my ability to use the remote setup. The support by Marcus is first rate. Jim

Remote operation at its finest Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I tried the set up several months ago for my icom 7300 on the 30 day trial and then I broke my raspberry pi. A couple months went by contacted them again and they gave me another 30 days.

1. Set up directions are emailed to you and they are easy to follow

2. Up and running within 30 mins

3. I have operated from my iphone, Ipad and windows deaktop. I always get good audio reports

4. I use a ldg tuner and all works through this software as its just like your sitting there

5. When I want to use HRD and I am home, I just unplug pi and plug in my laptop. computer

6. No need to worry about opening ports

7. They give you a custom web address

8. They are very responsive with questions but ifnyou follow directions you probably wont have any questions

Great product , great price. Makes HF away from shack

Great! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have used many remote options. Right now I use the
Icom RS-BA1 software with DDNS and it works well.

I did the 30 day trial of RemoteTX and must say it is EASY!!
And works VERY WELL!
I would pay the $70 a year IF I did more remote ops.
I just decided that I don't need it right now, maybe later
after I retire?
If you operate remote, this is BY FAR the way to go!!
It is as close to "true" Plug and Play as you will find.

RemoteTX outstanding product Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
RemoteTX has given me the ability to continue HF in my semi.
The new computer controlled trucks have made it near impossible to run HF equipment.

Very easy to to use and setup.

Remote TX, easiest way to go Remote Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Living in a antenna restricted townhome I have spent allot of time looking for a Remote Station setup for SSB that doesn’t require having a computer at the remote location.

Let me start off to say that I have been using RemoteRig with an IC706MK2 for a while now and that setup has been working great no issues what so ever but you do need know some router configuration which can be tricky to get it running and the cost is $450.00 +/-. I have tried the new MFJ 1234 but this is far from plug and play even though MFJ totes the tag line “as simple as 1,2,3” At $299.00 + the hours of frustration to get it running I had to gave up for now until this product proves itself.

So I decided to trial run RemoteTX. Cost was about $60 on amazon for a Rpi B+ computer. Downloaded some software onto the SD card and was sent a license by
Marcus the designer of the software. Total setup was 10 minutes, it took me longer to open the Amazon box! At this point I was skeptical on it being actually plug and play. I followed the radio setup instructions listed on the RemoteTX website for the IC7300 which was clear an concise. I then attached my 7300 to the Rpi via USB cable, I then attached the CAT5 cable from the Rpi to my router and powered up the Rpi with the RemoteTX software. I then powered up the 7300 and “BAM” I was on the air. The RemoteTX Web interface is very simple to use, I made a couple of adjustments to volume and power and I was making calls within 5 minutes. That’s right 5 minutes absolutely no messing with my ISP router. NO port forwarding ... Nothing more, no more software to download, like Mumble for audio, absolutely nothing !! You can use a PC, MAC, Android, IPhone, Ipad, Kendall anything that has a web browser to access you radio from anywhere that has internet access. OK here is one thing I need to mention the service is $70.00 per year ($5 a month). So break it down even more for the Hams that don't want to pay for a service (same ones that charge for their QSL cards) ..... 1st year cost is $130.00 because of the initial hardware purchase. 2nd year your up to $200.00, 3rd year your at $300.00, I think you get where I am going with this ....3 years is the break even point with the MFJ and even longer with RemoteRig.

So, I have been using RemoteTX for about 4 months now everyday and haven’t been happier. Signal reports have been excellent, audio great and zero latency. I am using the optional Heil HHM mic with my setup. Customer service is awesome and Marcus is willing to help out with any issues, He is also actively adding radios and features. All I can say is if you are looking for a remote setup, particularly if you are just looking to do just SSB, RemoteTX will have you on the air in no time. This is a real Plug and Play system NO computer or router configuration knowledge. Just the basics, if you can operate you IPhone you can set this systems up... No Question. Give it a try you wont be disappointed and the equipment you need is readily available on Amazon .... no need to wait for weeks or months for equipment to show up.

Simple to setup, and just works great with my Icom 7200 & 7300 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
If you want to use your station remotely this is the simplest way that I know of. Hardware needed is less than $75. It doesn't require you to open ports on your router etc. Uses the web browser as the client. Nothing to load on your computer, iPhone, or tablet.

I've used it with my Icom 7200 and 7300 with only a USB cable connected to the Raspberry PI that connects to the internet. My internet here has limited bandwidth. I have no audio dropouts as I do with my Flexradio remote system that requires more bandwidth to work without dropouts. I now use the RemoteTx system exclusively when operating remote. The RemoteTx control system is in current active development.

Marcus has answered all questions promptly.

I can't imagine what the RemoteTx future features will be.
