Fantastic Antennas, Great Value and Outstanding Support Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I've been purchasing dipoles from Dean for years, and recently purchased his LD16131 133 ft shortened 160 meter dipole with another one of his BL-10-160 5KW baluns, and it's been a terrific performer. Dean added, at my request, two floating insulators (at no extra charge) to allow the ends to droop 10 ft so the antenna would not be in the branches of the two trees. I also ordered a FSDP80 full length dipole since I operate a lot of CW and Dean not only cut the wire to length, but provided 6 inch pieces to hold the antennas in place on my stringers, and included extra lugs to attach it to the balun, all without my asking. His level of service has been unsurpassed in my 59 years in the hobby, and he's always available to give advice. I cannot recommend Dean and his antennas highly enough. A++++

Not worth it Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Model: BLLI-HF-250 6 to 180M Started overheating on 30m ft8 at 50 watts 2:1 SWR or less. Hot enough to loosen the glue holding all together. Replaced with a 240-31 toroid with 11 turns of rg58 wrapped through it. No over heating even at a 5:1 swr at 100 watts. 250 watt rated with a 1:1 swr maybe, and 20 watts would be pushing it. Could not even run it at 50 watts at a 1:1 SWR without it heating up.

Wow what a great antenna 110% satisfied. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased the OCF80 5KW Dipole antenna to replace my Carolina Windom 80 OCFD. The Carolina was a low power (100W or so) antenna - and could not take that much higher power. The balun would heat up and the SWRs would go way up.

Wow what a difference this antenna makes! This antenna amazes our locals as to how well it works:)

The antenna itself is very high quality, both construction and parts, with heavy duty 12 gauge insulated wire and stainless steel hardware. No vertical radiator too!

And its cost was only $150 shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Compare that to a Buckmaster (3x price) that doesn't come close to the power handling ability.

Nice job HyPower Antenna Company!

Excellent quality Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have bought several dipoles from HyPower Antennas. The shortened 160 meter dipole (150 ft.), the dual band 160/40 meter dipole, the full size center fed 160 meter dipole and the 160 meter OCF dipole all performed exactly the same at 50 feet up. I could make from 600 to 700 qsos in the ARRL and CQ 160 meter contests and could work all of North America, including the Caribbean. The only difference between them is that the dipoles with loading coils only have about a 60 kHz bandwidth (3:1 SWR) and the full size dipoles have about a 120 kHz bandwidth (3:1 SWR.) All had the appropriate balun from HyPower Antennas.

20 Meter Half Square Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have tried numerous Wire Antenna thru the years. The Hy-Power Half Square Antenna is by far the BEST Wire Antenna I have ever used. You will not be disappointed in my opinion.

Well built and great performers Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I purchased two antennas last year and I never thought I would be so pleased with wire antennas. Hy Power Antenna company builds strong antennas that perform very well. They handle all the power you can throw at them and are built to last. I find my self enjoying working DX on my wire antennas more than on my Mosley Beam!
If your starting out this is the place for you. They have a variety of antennas for every situation. I have a fan dipole for 10,15 and 20 meters as well as a trapped dipole for 40 and 80 meters. With two coax I get 5 bands. Once you tune them ( which is easy ) your good to go with with very little tuning ever. Best bang for the buck I have had in many years.

Summary for multiband dipole model 3B4016SC. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I purchased this multiband dipole for use on 40, 80, and 160m at legal limit power. The antenna was tuned perfectly as advertised. The wire and hardware are heavy duty, stainless steel, very high quality and great workmanship. Best dipole I've owned! Dean was responsive by email and answered all my questions. Great Company!

100% Quality Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is a review of two loaded 20 meter dipoles, a 20' unit and a 12' unit, both with the recommended balun. I have used the longer one only a few times in the park, during warmer weather. The shorter one just fits in inverted V configuration on my apartment balcony and has seen much use in recent months.
Fit and finish is wonderful. Usable bandwidth is narrower than what a full size dipole would provide but sufficient for cw work. Customer service is wonderful, as well. Old school, however. No on-line ordering. You have to mail in a check.
Only cons I can think of are that neither antenna circumvents the laws of physics and, more importantly, neither comes with sunspots.

80 Meter Shortened Dipole Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased the 80 meter shortened dipole back in late August last year 2020 and got antenna in early September. I got it installed almost immediately. Previously I was using Terminated Folded Dipole 80 to 10 meters and it does not work well on 80 meters. With 80 meter shortened dipole in inverted vee configuration, I worked all 50 states & got them confirmed LOTW on FT8 with this antenna. I also have worked 44 countries/entities with 42 confirmed by LOTW on FT8 with this antenna. Normally I run 60 watts for stateside FT8 contacts, but for difficult ones and DX, I run 100-150 watts with my amplifier with this antenna. Note I ordered antenna with GU-6-160 -5KW current balun. This is a well built wire antenna for 80 meters.
