Review Summary For : IQ Keyer by Hobby PCB
Reviews: 1MSRP: 99.00
Description:
Welcome to the IQ Keyer project page. This is an Arduino based device for generating Morse code using:
a straight key
a CW paddle
text to CW from a computer via USB
In addition to conventional keying output designed to drive the CW input on commercial or home-brew transceivers, the IQ Keyer provides quadrature audio sinewave outputs designed to drive the audio I and Q inputs of Software Defined Radios (SDR) like the HobbyPCB RS-HFIQ or the Five Dash Softrock RXTX Ensemble. Unlike generating CW using a computer and sound card to drive the SDR, the IQ Keyer can use traditional CW keying hardware and produce zero-latency CW using a SDR.

Finally got my SDR kit to do CW Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Several years ago our club built the Five Dash Soft rock RXTX kit, I managed to make a few SSB contacts with it but I never could get it to operate on CW,
In browsing around I came across the Hobby PCB web site and the IQ keyer kit, among other things it mentions that it was specifically designed to work with the Five Dash RXTX transceiver on CW.
The kit is a fairly easy build, installing the Arduino-mini board is not a problem, after that it's just a matter of following the hook up directions and loading the Arduino files, I will add that their tech support is excellent, response time to my questions was very good.
Check their web site for a list of the many other products they offer.
