Review Summary For : mAT-180 Auto Tuner for Icom
Reviews: 5MSRP: approx $140
Description:
The mAT-180H provides automatic antenna tuning across the
entire HF spectrum plus 6 meters, at power levels up to
120 watts. It will tune dipoles, verticals, Yagis, or
virtually any coax-fed antenna. It will match an amazing
range of antennas and impedances, far greater than some
other tuners you may have considered, including the
built-in tuners on many radios.

Great tuner for rf in the 100 watt SSB range Time Owned: more than 12 months.
A major plus in this tuner, is the ability to manually tune antennas - automatic tuners are often happy to get tuned down around the 1:5 range, then stop - for rigs with aggressive power fold-back circuits, something a bit lower in SWR is needed - and the manual adjustment feature on this tuner functions beautifully.

It's an Great Tuner Time Owned: more than 12 months.
it works with most of the Icom range,
and does work well with my IC-706MKIIG
it's tuning is very fast, and seems to store most settings in it's memory,
and the inbuilt Icom Tuner control also works very well.

Nice tuner with normal limits Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is an nice tuner for up to 120 watts SSB/CW. However, it is limited to only 30 watts on Digital modes. Be careful. The LDG IT-100 is also limited to 30 watts Digital.

Nice tuner Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I just received this little unit from WIMO, in Germany. I'm impressed with both the quality of construction and its efficiency. I'm using it with a HYEnd ed-fed wire, and it tunes 10 and 20 meters easily; for 40 meters I use the manual function on the tuner, which seems to give it a bit more tuning range. It seem the Chinese are following a trajectory of increasing quality and sophistication in their amateur radio products, if this unit is an example.

Great quality, great value auto match Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I bought this tuner from AliExpress having read a number of positive comments elsewhere on the Internet.

It works from HF up to 6m, at 120W. The supplied cable connects to the "usual" ICOM tuner port, and works with the 706 series, 7000, 7100, 7300 and others. Power is supplied over the interface. The unit is solidly built, and provides SO239 in/out sockets, plus terminal posts for wire antennas. Tuning is initiated from the Tune button on the radio. In common with other auto matching units, once tuned the settings are stored in memory for future use. You can also initiate tuning from the 180's front panel, and there is the ability to manually correct C and L, and save the tweaked setting.

I tried it out on my IC706 with a simple random wire, and was very pleased with the results.
