This is a convenient accessory for the Xiegu X5105 and G90 transceivers. I purchased this from MFJ and received it with my X5105 in Apr 2019. The box included the CE-19, a male-male mini-DIN for connecting to the transceiver, 3 mini-headphone jacks, 3 cabled headphone jacks with 3-wire bare ends, and a single sheet of descriptive paper (which didn't match the included CE-19; more below).

The CE-19 offers PTT, DATA, and AF CON port connections, along with a mini-DIN port connection for the XPA125 amplifier. You'll need this unit if you want to hook up to the Xiegu amp due to its unique band-switch voltages. However, the unit simply made it a bit easier to set up for digital ops for me. I took two of the cables, wired the GND (black) wires together, then twisted and wired each pair of red and white wires on each cable. Then I soldered the GND wire to GND on a spare headphone jack, and soldered one pair of red and white wires to PIN and the other to SLEEVE. This makes an AF CON cable, one end in the CE-19, the other two jacks to the MIC and PHONE soundcard jacks on the computer. Attach the mini-DIN to CE-19 and the X5105 and you're set for digital ops!

(note that Xiegu now offers a CN-20 interface for hooking up the XPA125B amplifier to a Yaesu FT-817 - works FB, too)

The descriptive paper stated that there was a 'tiny switch' on the top of the CE-19 for switching ops between data and using the amplifier. No such switch on mine. It was later determined that I received the latest new unit, which has SMA board components, while older Ce-19s have thru-hole components. Both work the same, except no switching is required with the new CE-19s.

You do not need a CE-19 for digital ops. If you scrounge up a mini-DIN and spare headphone jacks, you can easily build your own audio in/out cable. But the CE-19 makes things easier and includes everything you need to get started right away with a few quick solder melts.

btw, i understand that the company's name is not pronounced 'Zai-goo' - more like 'Schwey-goo'
