The best Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I am a ham radio operator for a long period, and always used very clean logging softwares. Started with LogEQF, WinEQF, than AALog. Recently I switched over to LogHX. I use it with the SunSDR2-DX, or FT-DX3000 and any other radios of mine. This log is very well constructed. Not the usually windows, all automatic stuff. You have access to all parameters, can configure it according to your needs. It integrates with several external softwares (WSJT-X, MMTTY, FLDIGI, CWSkimmer, SDC...). It does everything.
Also it is FREEWARE, but feel free to donate, as this log should live and develop.
I won't switch to any other log, as this is just perfect. Highly recommended.

Logger32 look alike worth your time and effort! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I edited my previous review (giving it 3 stars) as it needs a correction.
I was too fast to judge.
The main reason for this is that this software has no users manual making it a time consuming effort to discover all “hidden” features it provides.
We can’t blame RX4HX for making a logging program for its own use. Obviously, he needs no users manual for that.
On the contrary, we need to be thankful Alexei is willing to share his logging software with the ham radio community. For free that is!
And so it is the task of the user to figure out features and facts. It is NOT our task to blame him for not providing a manual!

Logger32 is a top notch logging software but it turns out the features list of LogHX is more extended.
I’m not going to sum them all up, I let YOU the joy to discover them.
It truly is an amazing program.

It helps if you’re familiar with Logger32 but still, it remains a (pleasant) hobby on its own to figure everything out. It is not overly difficult though.
The reward is worth the effort!

If you’re happy with Logger32, you will be equally happy with LogHX.
If I should give “points”, I’ll say
Logger32: Ease of use 9 / features 7 / reliability 10
LogHX: Ease of use 7 / features 9 / reliability 8
The author seems to very helpful in resolving problems but at the end, there are very few.

To be clear, I think Logger32 is hands down the best DX logging software available at any price.
I call LogHX a close competitor.

It certainly deserves your time and effort!

So much more than just a logging program Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Agree with Ernst OE3IDE on all points.

I’m also a new user having tried a few other packages over the last few months. LogHX3 is really simple to use and the learning curve is not that steep. I was up and running very quickly without any issues.

I didn’t fancy 6 months learning just to get a log book running. This is a really welcome simple affair.
The added bonus is that the rear end log is an MS Access d/base file and if you need to edit any of the fields (like a find and replace) like I needed to after an ADIF export from WinEQF, this makes working with LogHX3 very easy indeed. Anyone that uses 'MS Access' will find this very straightforward and useful.

There’s plenty of other bells and whistles and the logging section is just one small part of a very comprehensive set of operator tools. As an IOTA buff, I found you can customise awards which is a nice powerful feature.

I’ve yet to get into the real heart of the package and it’s a whole lot more than just logging program, but first impressions are very good and it looks like you can customise most parts of it.

Comes highly recommended and certainly worth looking at.

Hi,
I am using LogHX3 since a couple of weeks, and that is an amazing piece of software. Thanks Alexei for quick and great support!
What is different compared to others (i.e. the great Log4OM/HRDLog/..., which I used many years)?

1) All windows are floating/detachable. So you can make your own ham radio desktop. Including LogEntry, previous QSOs with the current entered station, Log-List, different maps, great cluster-engine, dxcc statistics, different types of bandmaps, real-time qrz-info (with automatic view of the qrz-profile-pic), and many many more.
The great thing is, resizing works very smooth, additionally you can customize all fonts/colors to make it in your prefered style. Also there are tons of skins, which is great.
2) it is very very fast
3) supports LoTW, eQSL, clublog
4) color-highlighting in cluster (not worked dxcc, not worked on band, not worked station,...)
5) this highlightings works also in the bandmap. you can customize font/foreground-color/background-color... really great!
6) this highlightings even work in the qso-entry. Just enter the call, and you know the worked status (station worked, dxcc worked, ...)
7) it supports Omnirig (I use it in combination with SDR Console V3). Also supported: TCI (great for sunsdr users), Hamlib and of course CAT native
8) it supports rotator control (I use it in combination of PSTRotator) Also supported: most types of rotators :-)
9) included QSL-Card printing - works great out of the box!
10) fully customizable grids. So you can decide, which columns to show (in previous qsos, log-view, ...)
11) very usefull filtering possibilities
12) supports awards, many predefined awards. but you can add your desired award. So you see, which confirmation (Lotw, Paper, etc.) you need. Very handsome!
13) the complete window-arrangement can be saved in profiles

I could continue with the list nearly endless :-)

Because it is so highly customizable and feature loaded, it takes a little time, to find all the settings and possibilities, but it's worth it!

Thanks again Alexei (RX4HX) for your great job!

Very easy to use Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have screwed around for many years with logging software only to be driven to despair. This program is a snap to use with about all the features one could ask for. It has a very nice cluster display and is compatable with Ham QTH. At long last, a logging program that works. And it's free!

One of the best customizable Logs Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I’ve been using the LogHX for about 4 years.
This is one of the best logs on the market for customizations to any user’s needs.

It is a free SW and very easy to use. You have an option to pay to get your License and the LogHX will show your callsign on the top of the log. I paid to get the License and support development. If you don’t pay for the License you will still have full LogHX functionality.

Author (Alexei, RX4HX) is available almost on a daily basis, he responds to requests and constantly adds new features and fixes things if necessary. He listens to feedback, discussing them but more importantly helping to resolve specific issues.

I used it with FT5000MP last few years with no issue, last month I was happy to see that the 2nd receiver bandmap was added and now I can work on my Flex6600 on 2 bands with 2 separate Bandmaps – it is very impressive.

Log is constantly growing and HAMs from all over the world keep asking for new features that makes Log more fun to use.

The minor issue I would point out (not really an issue), the LogHX forum is in the Russian language, however I saw there is no problem to get an answer from Alexei in English.
One more input - I wish there could be some documentation available. It is not really necessary as most things are pretty intuitive, and if specific questions arise it can be answered by Alexei or other users on forum pretty quick.
